Friends
We grew up together,
We were best buds,
We got older,
And times changed,
We always remembered,
The times we had together,
As our lives changed,
We promised each other,
That we would still always be friends
Forever.
We shared our laughs,
We shared our tears,
Even some of our scariest fears.
We made each other smile
When we were down.
Always there for one another,
Always lending a shoulder when needed,
To cry on when times got tough.
That changed in a minute when you got
hit.
You never saw the car coming….
Till it was too late
The driver struck you,
You just couldn't be saved.
The doctors really did try.
I Couldn't believe…
That my best friend was
Really gone.
I promised that
I would always remember our times Together.
And In my heart
We will still,
Always be,
Best friends forever.
