About Kenshin
The name Kenshin means "Heart of Sword" (ken = sword, shin = heart).
Rurouni Kenshin is about a legendary assassin who has become a wanderer. Himura Kenshin, also known as the Hitokiri Battousai (sword-drawing master assassin), has left his blood-stained past behind him and start living his as a wanderer. He helped Kaoru beat the false Battousai who has ruined her family Dojo's name. While staying at Kaoru's Dojo he also meets a young samurai named Yahiko and the chicken-haired punk, Sanosuke. Kenshin uses his sword skills to help those in need, and hopes to atone for the sins he commited as a hitokiri.
This is the ultimate sword-fighting anime. The story is very well thought out, and character development goes really deep in this series. There's so many cool characters, like Kenshin, Aoshi ad Saitou, just to name some. This is certainly a must-see series for anyone. Even if you don't like sword fights you'll certainly appreciate the story.
After single-handedly establishing the Meiji era, he disappears and was not heard from again. The Battousai had disappeared into legend, put away, for what he believed to be forever. He changed his name from Himura Battousai back to Himura Kenshin and became a Rurouni so that he could help people, and possibly make up for all the lives he took during the war.
