About Megumi
Megumi is a member of a famous medical family in Tokyo. Because of her expertise in medicine, she was forced to make opiums for Takeda Kanryuu. Her opiums only brought misery and death and she ran away from Onibawanshu. When she met Kenshin, she asked him to protect her and Kenshin took her with him in the Kamiya dojo. The Onibawanshu were able to get her back so Kenshin and company tried to save her. She nearly commited suicide but Sanosuke took the knife away. Kenshin told her that she can't make up for the wrong things she did by killing herself and that she must rather help those who are in need of medical attention. She followed Kenshin's advise now works in her clinic. She flirts with Kenshin whenever Kaoru is in sight, probably enjoying the jealous look on Kaoru's face. And unlike Kaoru, she's a very good cook which makes her presence in the Kamiya dojo enjoyable for Sano and Yahiko. Does she like Sano? I really can't give you a dependent answer. . . yes she likes Sano in a way.
