Come Home Lindsey and Sam Porter
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high,
There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me,
Where troubles melt like lemon drops.
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly,
Birds fly over the rainbow,
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow,
Why oh why can't I?
Reminds me of the old saying-"The grass is always greener on the other side"! Why is it that we have to live in a dream land and desire the good things, but don't put it into action in our lives? Sometimes, these dreams become nightmares, as it happened in a few cases with "Dorothy" in "The Wizard of Oz"!
Heaven can be a long way away and seem unreachable for some of us-after all, we won't be happy in heaven until we are happy with where we are at now! If some of you say you are "Happy", are you really "Happy"? Do you have Jesus in your life? That is what true happiness consists of!
