Buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Calhoun County, Mississippi. It is located
in the north west area of Calhoun County between Highway 9 and Highway 32 on a
county road in the Reynolds Community.

Ancel A is probably Ancil Anslem; but not verified.

Andrew Pruitt lived in the northern parish of Goochland County, Virginia,
along with his brother Richard. He sold 100 acres where he lived to Robert
Adams on 9 September 1750, witnessed by William Webb and Byrd Prewitt. He
moved to Bedford County, Virginia, in 1762, when he witnessed a deed of Michael
Sr. Andrew's will was proved in Bedford County, Virginia, in 1763. Agness
Pruitt resided in Goochland and Bedford counties.

Died at age 60y 8m 20d.
Married 24y 1m 18d.

! Died at age 14.

He was a farmer and dealt extensively in race horses.

Beasley was in Natchez District, Mississippi, 1783. Lucy and family came to
Texas in 1825, was on Mexican Census of 1826, Atascosita District (now Liberty
County, Texas). He died in West Liberty (now Dayton), Liberty County, Texas.

He was a private in Capt Frank Hardkin'scompany of volunteers from Liberty
COunty. He received a bounty warrent for 320 acres. Thos.(x) Dever and Free
Green, Vitoria Co.,affirmed idenity.

Served in Mississippi 5th Infantry Company D in the Civil War.
Benjamin and Didema were living in Pontotoc County MS in 1870 with a
Lafayette Springs P.O. address.

Will of Beverly Prewitt, 1851, Spencer County, Kentucky:

In the name of God Amen, I Beverly Prewitt of the County of Spencer and State
of Kentucky knowning (sic) the uncertaintity (sic) of life and the certainty of
death and being now of my usual health and wishing to dispose of the Estate
wherewith God has been pleased to bless me I constitiute and ordain this my
last will and Testament.

Item 1st" I will and desire all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid
first out of my Estate

Item 2nd" I give and bequeath unto my neice Fanny Rowland the daughter of
my Eldest Sister Fanny Elliott one hundred and ten dollars

Item 3rd" I give and bequeath unto my neice Nancy Melvin daughter of Stephen
Waller one hundred and ten dollars

Item 4th" I give and bequeath unto my Great Grandson and Name Sake Beverly
Prewitt Grigsby Son of William R and Martha Ann Grigsby a boy Slave by the name
Chesterfield and also a little Girl Slave by the name of Adaline the child of
Angeline. As to the rest and residue of my estate real personal and mixed
whether in land Slaves personalty cash of cash notes. I will and bequeath the
same unto my Two Daughters Susan Newman and Tabitha West. It is my desire in
my various advancements untto my said beloved daughters to preserve equal
justice between them but I have had occassion to advance unto my daughter Susan
Three Thousand dollars for a tract of land of which she has the title and has
had possession adn enjoyment for several years, and the land I gave to my
daughter Tabitha has not yet come to her possession, there is something due her
the said Tabitha on that score, And I have given Susan Cannon Woman Nancy of
the value of $150 and unto John E. Newman One Hundred dollars and to William
Newman Sixty Five Dollars.

It is but just that my daughter Susan should account for their sums advanced to
her side of the house.

These sums and the sums I estimate for the use of her land I fix at Seven
Hundred Dollars. It is therefore my will and desire that in the final division
of my Estate between my daughters as aforesaid that the said Seven Hundred
Dollars be made up to Tabitha to make them equal and the residue to be divided
share and share alike between my two daughters.

I revoke all former wills made by me I constitute adn appoint Samuel Ruble and
William R. Grigsby my Executors.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this 2nd
day of January 1849.

Conditioned as the law directs Certificate is granted them for obtaining a

! May 1858 Byrd Pruitt made a purchase at the Harry Chiles estate sale. He
lived on Straightstone Creek in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.
! George Byrd Pruitt (Prewitt) was of Huguenot ancestry and gained title of
general in the French Indian War.

Charles paid taxes in Henry County Virginia in 1778-79 and resided in Richmond
County North Carolina in 1784-87 with three sons and three daughters. He moved
to Roane, Anderson County, Tennessee by 1808 and died before 1830.

Resided in Spring Creek Township, Phelps County, Missouri.

Drowned.

Also married a Emite Shibblen.

He married Elizabeth Downey in Schuyler County, Ilinois, on 29 March 1853.

Married first William Everett in 1828. Children were Lucinda and Elizabeth
Everett.

Married Benjamin Modelle Green abt 1833 in Libert County, Tx. Children were
John J., Narcissus, Martha Ann, William enjamin, Francis MArion, Mary Jane,
Feliciana, and Edmond Modelle Green.

Died from pneumonia at age 15y8m21d.

Resided in Fayette County Illinois in 1880.

On Dec. 28,1862, while guarding a railroad bridge, DeWilton was taken
captive at Muldraugh's Hill in Kentucky by troops commanded by Gen. John Hunt
Morgan, under whom DeWilton's brother William was serving.

Served with the US Calarly with the 71st Indiana Volunteers.

Also married Suasan A Caskey, daughter of Robnert Caskey and Matha Mason.

First married a Lawson.

According to the 1860 Mississippi census, Dudley was living in HH 236, French
Camp, Choctow County, along with Nancy (age 21) Missouria W (age 1/12) Laletia
Gaston (age 55) and Elizabeth Gaston (age 18). Next door in HH 235 was John
Prewett (age 66) a farmer along with James A Lester (age 20) and Julia A Lester
(age 21) and Mary A Prewitt (age 40) as well as Jackson A Prewitt (age 20),
Rufus K (age 16) and John N (age 10).

Dudley Marion Prewitt was the first sheriff of Clay County, Texas.

Also married a Myrtie Coats.

Edmund received Bounty Warrant # 9181 for 320 acres from S War on 25 May 1839
for service from 7 July until 7 October 1836. The 320 acres were patented to
him on 31 Oct 1845.

Elisha first appeared in Kentucky in 1778 with brothers Robert and Joshua.
He was a SGT in Blue Licks Battle on 19 August 1782. He owned land in Kentucky
in 1781. He was in Fayette County in 1788 and in Shelby County in 1796. He
helped lay out the town of Taylorsville, Kentucky.

Elisha moved from Roane County Tennessee to Fayette County Illinois in 1855 and
died there in 1865.
