Enoch Pruitt started with $20 and a horse and by industry and economy became
the owner of 175 acres of well improved and productive land in Allen County,
Kentucky. Since 1875 he was a magistrate and a member of the Methodist
Church and a democrat.

Died from pneumonia.

He was a farmer.

He married Rebecca Jane Smith, daughter of Whitaker Smith, December 20 1879 in
Forsyth County, Georgia. Rebecca (b) 19 July 1825 (d) 2 June 1906) buried at
Concord Baptist Church, Forsyth County, Georgia.

Had nine children.

! Hardin Pruitt served in the War of 1812 certified by Georgia Pension
#WO36212. No certificate. Service in Captain Neal's Company, Georgia Militia,
as cited in Georgia Pensioners: Vol 1 by Dorothy E Payne, 1985. LCCN 85-63432.
Hardin was appointed guardian of children 5 September 1814 according to Warren
County records.
! Hardin Pruitt conducted the first census of Warren County, Georgia, along
with John Hopson in 1800.

He served in the Civil War with six of his brothers and his father-in-law Lewis
Perry.
