OPENED 1968

Station 6 opened in 1968 in the Hope Valley area of Southern Durham. Station 6 responds to numerous large homes that are valued in the millions dollars. Station 6 also covers several shopping centers including being second due to South Point Mall. This mall is the largest mall in central part of the state. Station 6 has one of the largest districts geographically in the city and is rapidly becoming one of the most densely populated areas with many new housing developments being built everyday. Engine Co. 6 has numerous apartment complexes in the their first due area. Engine Co. 6, once a slow company is now busier than ever and they continue to proudly serve the City of Durham.
