This year Elkhorn-Waterloo Assembly #38 is honoring our "Rainbow Ambassadors".
This group of wonderful and dedicated men are the fathers of Rainbow Girls,
"Rainbow Dads", and Masons who volunteer their time and love to our members.
Our Ambassadors can usually be found at Grand Assembly with hammers, drills, and screwdrivers.
(and wearing shorts, jeans, and t-shirts, but can change to a suit or tux faster than any stage actor)
They set up, build scenery, platforms, fix air conditioners, keep track of props, and
carry anything heavier than a cell phone. They also run errands, deliver messages,
play security guard and campus police. They can stay up all night then work all day.
They can fix almost anything that breaks, build scenery, attach and solder charms, they
arrange chairs and tables, lay carpeting, deliver pizza, and do anything else they are asked to do, and
very seldom receive any credit.
All this work and service is often done on Father's Day weekend. Some of them are at Grand
Assembly with their daughters, but many are not. They spend their "special holiday" working hard"
Most of all, they love Rainbow Girls and Rainbow Girls love them.
This day is dedicated to their special "Love and Service"
