Distinguished Key Clubbers
Certain Key Clubbers are rewarded for going "above and beyond" the norm. These Key Clubbers are called "Distinguished Key Clubbers."
The following WH/IP Key Clubbers received this honor for the 1998-1999 year:
- Tanya Alvino
- Paola Jean-Charles
- Pat Higgiston
- Melissa Lesmeister
- Amy Seligman
- Gopi Unnithan
This year's criteria for becoming a DKC are stricter than ever. Applicants must fulfill the requirements in all three parts.
PART I:
- Submit an article to the Empire Key (attach copy of Article)
- Recruit a new member
PART II: A total of 200 points is required.
- Attend a Kiwanis meeting - 10 points
- Attend a Joint K-Family Meeting - 10 points
- Participate in a Kiwanis event - 15 points
- Participate in a Joint K-Family event - 15 points
- Submit an article to Key Noter (attach one copy of each article) - 3 points per article (limit 3 articles)
- Submit an article to school/community newspaper (attach one copy of each article) - 3 points per article (limit 3 articles)
- Chair an event/committee - 15 points
- Attend District Convention - 25 points
- Attend International Convention - 35 points
- Attend Regional Training Conference - 20 points
- Attend Officer's Training Conference - 20 points
- Attend Divisional - 20 points (limit 3 divisionals)
- Participate in a Governor's Project or Major Emphasis Project - 5 points per hour (limit 50 points)
- Particpate in a District Project or World Wide Service Project - 1 point per dollar (limit 50 points)
- Participate in a Read & Lead Project - 5 points per hour (limit 50 points)
PART III: Choose and complete one of the following.
In addition to the projects listed above:
- Attend four events
- Complete 20 hours of service
If you have questions about the specifics of the requirements or need a form, inquire about it at a meeting or talk to an officer. The deadline for getting this in is March 1, 2000.
