On 14 Jan 1692, he was a resident of Essex Co., Virginia (gift to Thomas
Parker, School Master, in Records of Richmond County). He was later a resident
of Richmond County where his father left him an estate.

!Will, dated 16 Feb 1679, proved 2 May 1684 in Old Rappahannock Co., Va. In it
he directs that his son Simon be sent home in the next year to England. He
mentions his wife Margaret Miller and makes bequests to the "Sons of Mr.
Prosser" and his own children Simon, William, John, Isabella, Margaret, and
Susannah. He probably came to Virginia about 1673, since on 5 Nov 1673 he
patenteed 817 acres of land in Old Rappahannock County, Virginia for the
transportation of 16 persons into the country.
