    Thomas Prence

    Birth: of,Lechlade,Gloucestershire,England
    Death: AFT 1630
    Notes:
Knowles Genealogy p. 17 says: "Thomas Prence, 4th Governor of Plymouth Colony, came to America in 1621 on the "Fortune" soon after reaching his majority. He was the son of Thomas Prince of All Hallows, Barking, London, carriage maker. The proper spelling of the surname was Prince but the younger Thomas chose to call it Prence. The family was apparently armigerous as Thomas Prince Senior, in his will of 1630, bequeathed a "seale Ringe of Gold" to his son "Thomas Prence new remayninge in New England in parts beyond seas."

    Philip Lathley

    Death: BEF 12 APR 1718 Plymouth,Massachusetts
    Notes:
The name Lathley appears very rare in early Massachusetts. In fact, it does not appear in the 1790 census of that state at all!! (The closest is three "Lathe"s in Worchester Co.). It is likely that his two sons did not leave any male descendants. A thorough search of the Mayflower Descendant has been conducted, and turned up only a few records.
Bob Bowers of Lexington Mass was kind enough to look up his probate file for me at the Mass. State archives. It named only his wife. Text:
"Wheras Phillip Lathly late of Plymouth afforesd having whilest he lived and at the time of his death Good Chattels Rights and Credits in the County affordsd lately dyed Intestate whereby the power of Committing Administration and full disposition of all and Singular the Good Chattells rights and Credits of the [sd] dec'd and also the hearing examining and allowing the Accomplish of Such administration doth Appertain unto me. Mary Bishop

    Death: AFT 6 JUL 1718
    Notes:
her maidenname is from MF VI:441-2
Admitted as "Widow Mary Lathley" to the Plymouth Church, July 6, 1718 [Plymouth Church Records, in Pub.Col.Soc.Mass 22:218-9]. In same, are the baptisms of children Mary, Rhoda, Mercy, John and James. The baptism of Ann and Margaret in Duxbury is in MD 31:123. It is likely that several of the children are quite old at that time, but Margaret is likely to be rather young if she is indeed the one who married John Lewis.
