     Hallowed Hole

suddenly
you sealed the door
a protective civilised gesture
to secure what they stole
your pigeon from its hole.

is there still a need
to seal the door
of a pigeon hole
after knowing the pigeon
has flown and gone?

is it the hole
that freed the pigeon
or is it the door
that defines and holds
back the pigeon
to come home?

when comes the time
i will yield and build
and rest my nest
without any door
but with tall walls
of hallowed holes!
