Pokémon Gold and Silver Review (US Version)

I thought that Gold and Silver was a big improvement over Red, Blue, and Yellow.
Gold and silver had three new pokémon to chose from and a new professor. Plus a new rival, which actually steals one of the professor's pokémon. You will battle your rival on your way though the world of Johto.
It has a ton of different features which keep the game interesting. One is a phone, which lets you can call trainers that you have met or beat, or they call you and ask for another battle. Another thing that is cool is that you get a radio and you can go though "Pokémon Stations" and hear the PokéRap and many others too. You can also "hear" tips on pokémon stuff. Another feature is a clock, you set the time and you can catch pokémon in the day or at night. The clock feature also has a built in day keeper that keeps track of what day it is. This is neat because only on certain days can you do things such as the Bug Catcher's Tournament, which is on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. One of the coolest features, I think, would have to be where you can mate two pokémon and get eggs which can hatch into pokémon like Pichu. Another is that you can play the Red/Blue/Yellow world, Kanto, in Gold and Silver. So you can battle, once again, the gym leaders that tried to stop you in Red, Blue, and Yellow.
I found Gold and Silver very fun as I did Red/Blue/Yellow, but it is 10 times better than they are. Plus I love the new battle animations and new pokémon.

Overall, I will give this game a 9˝
