Formally known as Pokémon Attack, Pokémon Puzzle League (N64 version only) was debuted officially at this year's E3. The game will be available for both the Gameboy and the N64.

Essentially, Pokémon Puzzle League is a revamp of Tetris Attack!, which was essentially a revamp of Tetris. A basic description of the gameplay would be this - it's a puzzle game that challenges players to defeat opponents by performing better than them, lining up blocks of the same color, much like Tetris Attack!. This time, the blocks come down and Pokémon Puzzle Masters can move a cursor that will switch two blocks. When three blocks of the same color touch, they disappear, letting blocks above them fall down. If the blocks that fall then touch three or more blocks of the same color, they disappear too -- and hence players can set up combos to send garbage to their opponent, making it harder for them to keep up with the falling blocks.

Of course, that is the basic gameplay (i.e. Gameboy version). The N64 version has more complex features, such as:
A mode in which Ash and Pikachu try to beat the Pokémon Puzzle Master. 3D fields Head to Head play "Puzzle University" - players solve pre-made puzzles Mimic Mansion - player mimics puzzle master (think "Tutorial")
All the major Pokémon characters are available for play in the game, as *I hope* are all their Pokémon, including some GS ones.

The N64 version comes out around September 25th, while the GBC version arrives November 20th. We are hoping for some kind of Transfer Pak link-up between the GBC version and the N64 version, but Nintendo has not announced anything concerning that.
