William Longley came to America aboard the vessel Lincoln ca. 1638 and settled in Lynn, Massachusetts. He was a man of strong personal convictions and character, and was determined to achieve that which he said belonged to him. He was a member of the church and was almost censured for some of his actions. Despite his problems with civil authorities, he was placed in public trust and served the towns in which he lived.
Note: I have numerous pages of quoted references describing the problems William had with the courts and will furnish them to anyone who would like to have them. Please send an email request.
