Welcome to LANGKAW iPUR, a site dedicated to the "real" island resort of Langkawi, as opposed to the legendary variety!

It is a given that almost all of the other sites about Langkawi, simply, do NOT do justice to this wonderful place because they are either too "nice" (read: "propagandistic") or are filled with legends (read: terminological inexactitudes.) Hence, there is a need for LANGKAW iPUR to help put some semblance of reality into the picture.

Please come in... it's the "alternative" Langkawi!

Just in case you have been wondering... LANGKAW iPUR means "purely" Langkawi... as in "truthful"... warts and all!

Yes, I know that the last bit rhymes with the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, but I assure you that the pur, in this instance, is actually German for... well, what else? Pure... yes, you've got it.

Happy New Year and with the new year sees an updated LANGKAW iPUR and there are bound to be some small "glitches" here and there. Have patience... it's been over 3 looooong years and I've REALLY to update this site... soon!
