Here is just one of the many beautiful Gashof's they have in the Tyrol region

We arrived 2 days too late for the cow festival! Apparently farmers dress their cows up and parade them down the main street and the cutest cow gets a prize!!

Austrian Tyrol
We stayed in the Austrian Tyrol for 2 days, the scenery was amazing.

Going up the mountain
A couple of the girls and I decided to catch the ski lift up Hohe Salve (1829m), here we are on our way up.

A farm on the mountain
This was one of the many farms we saw on the way up, the men were ploughing away in the fields and you could smell the fresh bread the women were cooking in the kitchens.
At the top!
The ride up took about an hour and WOW! What a view!

The Lion Monument Chapel Bridge
Switzerland was also very beautiful. We stayed in a place called Lucerne. I went and saw the Lion Monument (above) which is a memorial for all the swiss people who died helping the French in the revolution. It's carved right out of the rock wall and the detail is incredible.

This was taken from on the Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge) which was constructed in the earlier part of the 14th century.

Coffee Shop in Amsterdam Dam Square
And finally, Amsterdam....what a place. Mate! Our tour manager took us to a sex show - what an eye opener! Walked through the red light district (another eye opener) and found ourselves in a few coffeeshops (hey, when in Rome right?). Oh the one non-sinful thing we did was go to a diamond gallery and of course Anne Frank's house.
This is Dam Square. Just watch out for the bikes! There are 15 million people in Amsterdam...and 13 million of them ride bikes - and just like Rome, they don't stop for you either. Also beware of the street corners at night, you'll get offered all sorts of stuff and it can be quite scary!!
