Hello, I am Capain Jessica Cordova, Commanding Officer of the USS Incursion NCC 93041, the flagship of Alpha Fleet. The Incursion is a Pathfinder-Class vessel stocked with the best crew and the best systems the Federation has to offer. Let me tell you a little bit about the Incursion.
The Incursion's Bridge is the nerve center of the entire ship. From here every inch of the ship can be monitored and every planet reached out to. At the center of the Bridge are three chairs belonging to the Captain, First Officer and Second Officer. Directly in front of the Command Chairs are the Helm and Operations stations. A wooden railing wrapping around the back of the Command Chairs is the Tactical Station with the Chief's position in the middle and two assistant positions to either side. There is a Bridge ESU Station to monitor the security status of the Incursion and deploy ESU Teams if the need arises. There are also two LCARS terminals on the Bridge, an Auxiliary station, an Engineering station, the Master Systems Display station, Science Station, Environmental System station, Communications station, and Mission Operations terminal.
The ever impressive Main Engineering takes up space on Decks 39, 40, and 41. Engineers will tell you that Engineering, not the Bridge, is the true nerve center of a ship, since without Engineering we wouldn't be going anywhere.
The Incursion sports the latest in Medical facilities that would rival even a Starbase. Located on Deck 24 the Incursion's Sickbay employs a team of over fifteen doctors to see to the well being of the crew. The Sickbay is also equipped with a Mark V EMH program to assist the Medical personnel. There are additional Sickbay facilities for when the ship goes into Multi Vector Assault Mode. Capable of handling extreme emergency cases, the Sickbay on the Incursion is one of the best places to be for treatment.
The Incursion's Elite Security Unit Command Center, located on Deck 52, was a design contribution of Chief Miles O'Brien of Deep Space Nine. The Command Center is based on the OPS level of DS9 and suits the ESU perfectly. There is an emergency transporter for quick beam in of unruly officers or hostile enemies, quick access to the Brig and Armory, and a Jeffries tube access from a pit in the forward part of the room. From this Center the ESU can monitor all the goings on in the ship or on a planet below. The Center is capable of using ships sensors to scan for armed life forms aboard other vessels and planets as well. The Center also has its own Mission Operations terminal located in the center of the room. The ESU Commander's office, located near the rear of the Center is where the Commander handles all ESU business. It also has its own direct link to Starfleet Security Database at Starfleet Headquarters.
One of the most important areas of the ship, and located directly next to the Computer Core, is the Operations Center. Here, personnel monitor and allocate resources of the ship, feeding all the information directly to the Operations station on the Bridge. Located adjacent to the OPS Center, the Chief of Operation's office has the most detailed interface with the ship's computer.
The Incursion has one of the largest secondary craft compliments of any Starfleet ship. With five shuttlebays, the Incursion carries, at any given time, 23 shuttles, 8 runabouts, 18 attack fighters, and the Captain's Yacht. Those craft include 2 Federation Workbees for field repair, 3 Type 18 shuttlepods, 4 Type 8 Cargo shuttles, 6 Type 9 personnel shuttles, 3 Type 13 personnel shuttles, 2 Type 14 personnel shuttles, 2 Argo-Class assault runabouts, 1 Avalanche-Class heavy runabout, 3 Danube-class runabouts, 1 Delta Flyer-Class runabout, 1 Prevaricate-class runabout, 12 Rouge-Class attack fighters, 6 Rouge-Class "Sci Tac" Scouts, 1 Sovereign-type Captain¡¦s Yacht, the "Southern Heritage."
The Incursion sports the best weapon and shield systems in the entire Federation. Trilayer Autoregenerative Shielding, Metaphasic Shielding, and 10 centimeters of Albaltive armor protect the Incursion from any harm.
The weapons are extremely powerful. Located on the primary hull is one quantum torpedo launcher, 140 photon torpedoes and 150 quantum torpedoes and 4 tri-cobalt devices. Four Type XIV Phaser arrays are also attached to the primary hull. The secondary hull sports a quantum torpedo launcher with 140 photon and 150 quantum torpedoes and 4 tri-cobalt devices. Two Type XIV phaser arrays and 1 Type XX phaser cannon are attached to the secondary hull as well. The tertiary hull is equipped with the same torpedo launcher and compliment of torpedoes and tri-cobalt devices as the other two hulls but only equipped with 2 Type XIV phaser arrays and 2 Type XV phased-pulse emitters. Along with the weapon and shielding systems, the Incursion is capable of entering Multi-Vector Assault Mode which, in essence, created three separate ships to attack the enemy. The Incursion is also capable of conducting planetary bombardment if Starfleet Command so desires
The two primary warp nacelles attached to the primary hull are capable of propelling the Incursion through space at the normal cruising speed of warp 6.5, maximum cruising speed of warp 9.55 or the emergency speed of warp 9.929 for 12 hours. Four subatomic unified energy impulse engines can send the Incursion hurdling through a solar system extremely quickly as well.
The Incursion is currently one of only two STF vessels to use the Elite Security Unit. The idea of Captain Alexander Swift, former CO of the Incursion, lives on as the best equipped, best trained, and most skilled attack/defense/rescue/abduction/espionage team in Starfleet. The ESU, a Fleet division of the Starfleet Marine Corps, can handle any situation thrown at them whether it is battling the Borg, defending the Incursion, or a frontal assault on an enemy planet.
The Incursion is also the only ship in the STF to have an Intelligence Department. Working along side the ESU, the Intelligence officers are the VERY, VERY best in the entire STF. They can complete any mission alone from rescue, abduction, sabotage, espionage, etc. They always remain connected through a neural implant to the Incursion's Mission Operations terminal, ESU Command Center, and Operations Center.
The Incursion namesake will live on for many ships to come, however, the original isn't about to be taken out of service anytime soon. With a lot of life left in her, the Incursion will continue to explore, defend, and attack.
