We left the Grand Canyon and drove to Las Vegas! The afternoon was pretty lazy since it was between 110 and 120 degrees (we decided not to debate the difference in temperature between shade and sun anymore - that is why you have a range)...therefore, we relaxed by the pool of our hotel - Treasure Island.
We walked down to Mandalay Bay for the all-you-can-eat buffet. We ate lots of crab legs, shrimp and lots of other foods. We definitely got our money's worth.
As we started back to Treasure Island, we stopped for the show outside of Excalibur. The beginning really didn't hold our attention that well...so we moved along. We saw a little of the Bellagio water show which was excellent and kept hurrying to get the the 10 p.m. show at Treasure Island. As we rushed by, we also saw some of the volcano explosions at the Mirage. We finally got to Treasure Island at exactly 10 p.m. to find out that we wouldn't see the show and there was a later show (which was not noted in the AAA guide).
Jen and Rob went to gamble a bit and Kate and John went to see the canals in the Venetian. We all went to wait for the pirate show at 11:00...it started at 11:30 p.m. and was really cool. After the show, Jen and Rob went to sleep and Kate and John gambled a little bit. Kate was the only one to win any money...but no one gambled a lot anyway.
