About the Hoax Detective Newsletter Page 2 This online newsletter generally lists the most commonly encountered e-mail rumors and urban legends, however, just because a story or rumor is not listed on this site doesn't mean that it is true. It may be listed on one of the sites featured here or it may even be an entirely new story just starting to make the rounds or an old story with "updated" information in order to make it look new. All stories stories and rumors have been thoroughly researched as carefully as possible, however, there may be times when information is incomplete, out of date, or even wrong. These sources welcome corrections and additions, especially if you have first-hand knowledge of anything we need to know. Before you forward that warning you received in your inbox, check it out here! If you can't find it listed on this site, please feel free to check the sources listed at the right or forward it to the Hoax Detective. I can't always promise a response, but I will try to get back to you as soon as possible with a confirmation or denial of the suspect e-rumor.
