What it is:
This newsletter is a FREE service, and may be withdrawn without notice (but that is unlikely for the forseeable future). Most e-mails will be brief, generally consisting of a brief summary and links (URLs) to the new, updated or changed information on the site.

What it is NOT:
This is NOT intended as a discussion list, however, certain areas of this site (Only In America!) are open to reader responses and feedback which will be sent only to readers who have subscribed to that particular area of the service, otherwise you will only receive information from the Hoax Detective about new additions and those that have been changed/updated.

This is NOT a commercial list, you will not receive any sales pitches, either from me or other companies, which originate from this mailing list (unless someone fakes the headers to make it LOOK like it came from here). The site itself may contain paid advertising or sponsorships to help pay for costs of operating the site, however, no one is obligated to purchase anything from any ads on the site unless they wish to do so.

Your e-mail address will NOT be passed onto anyone else. I am a staunch privacy advocate and short of a court order, I will NOT give your e-mail address to anyone...EVER! All e-mail updates are sent via blind carbon copy.

How do I get off the list?
Each e-mail update will include a link which provides you an opportunity to unsubscribe if you wish to be removed from the list. Simply click on the unsubscribe link and send the e-mail. You will receive a reply informing you that you have been removed from the list.

Who do I complain to?
If you have a problem or complaint, simply click on the "I have a problem" link within the e-mail or send your complaint or problem to me at HoaxDetective@aol.com.
