Mr. Perfect and Bobby HeenanMR. PERFECT
Intercontinental Champion
Apr. 6, 2005 - Feb. 15, 2006

Mr. Bischoff signed a Four-Way between Mr. Perfect, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Shane Douglas to determine the Intercontinental Championship at the Federation's first pay-per-view, No Escape. Leading up to the match, bad blood ran especially rampant between The Game, the Heartbreak Kid, and The Franchise -- and it showed. Perfect was able to rest during much of the match as the other three competitors brawled. In the end, he was able to catch an unsuspecting Triple H with the Perfect-Plex for the pin and the victory.

This was Mr. Perfect's second title win of the night, earlier capturing the Tag Team Championship with Ravishing Rick Rude in a lengthy twelve-man Hexagon match. Competing in a Hexagon match, as well as a Fatal Four-Way, and walking away victorious in both, the new Intercontinental Champion's ability and resiliency could not be questioned. While Mr. Perfect had been successful his entire career, nobody knew just how dominant an Intercontinental Champion he would prove to be. Everyone was about to find out.
