Vash the Stampede

Vash the Stampede, often referred to as the Humanoid-Typhoon, has made a terrible reputation for himself. Stampede comes from the mass destruction that seems to follow him everywhere he goes. Whole towns and cities have been destroyed with Vash being named as the culprit, and because of this he has a $$60,000,000,000 (double dollar) reward on his head. However, the viewer finds out almost instantly that the damage done is usually the fault of bounty hunters, bandits, or other people seeking Vash out for the reward. Vash carries a large silver gun, has a cybernetic shotgun in his left arm, and also sports a bright red trenchcoat (chose red because its Rem's fav color) and yellow sunglasses. On the outside he appears to be an easygoing, friendly guy who can't drink without puking and tends to be a little perverted when it comes to girls. However, upon observing him in a gunfight, Vash is noted for his amazing agility and marksmanship. He almost never catches a bullet (even at close range) and manages stunts most humans are incapable of pulling off. Though he seems happy and lighthearted on the outside, Vash hides quite a bit of anger, frustration and sorrow, and rarely allows it to show. He fell in love with a dark-haired girl named Rem Saverem (Often translated as Lem). Rem was against killing any living creatures and is the reason Vash never kills. Rem was actually thought of Vash as just a child and was in love with another man named Alex (often translated to Ericks) who was killed on the sand steamer and never shown in the series. Funney fact, Vash uses the name Alex when he doesn't want anyone to know his true identity. If Vash is forced to protect himself or others, he shoots only to wound (I know, it sounds boring but its actually quite exciting). Vash is on a personal quest, though what of has yet to be revealed. Vash has no family to speak of, but allies himself with Wolfwood, and Bernidelli Insurance girls Merrill "Derringer" Stryfe and Millie "Stun Gun" Thompson. I believe the name Trigun comes from the three weapons that Vash uses. The first, his extremely large silver pistol. Used most in battle and often out of bullets. This weapon was givin to him by his evil twin brother Millions Knives for the soul purpose to kill humans. The second, his hidden gun on his left arm. Though it appears to be a normal arm, in extreme measures Vash opens it up and starts-a-firin'. and finally the third, his Angel Arm. This very deadly weapon is released in the last episode of the volume Angel Arms. He is tricked into using it by Legato, thus destroying Augusta City, and before that, July City. A flash of light shines through the barrel of his silver pistol. The believe the gun actually mutates (eeewww) his right arm. When I saw this, I really didn't get a good look at it. In augusta it looks like a tree branch sorta, with a large energy ball in the middle, but in july its kinda purple. After Wolfwood's death, Vash carries his cross around which could count as a fourth weapon. This is a picture of Vash and Knives when they were little! Its so funny!!
