Clear in the morning, rainy at night.
An okay day. In the morning I set up the slow cooker for dinner tonight. I filled it up with the veggies and meat but didn't turn it on until just before I left for work. I cooked my breakfast and lunch. I had a nice omelette today, not perfect, but it tasted good. It was ham, cheese, and asparagus.
At work I was busy today. I did a lot of stuff, even though I didn't teach many lessons. I painted the pinata (which looks really good), made up some stuff for the party and did a little bit of cleaning up. I didn't do much relaxing!
As I finished up I started thinking about the morning. I knew that I turned on the slow cooker, but did I plug it in? I couldn't remember. When Fumihiko arrived, I asked him if he checked the slow cooker. No. Did he remember if it smelled like it was cooking. No. As we got closer to home I started to feel more certain that I'd forgotten to plug it in.
When I opened the door to the apartment though I got my answer. There was a wonderful smell wafting through the air. Dinner was ready.
We cleared the table and had dinner. It was pretty good. The meat was a little dry, but not too bad. I hadn't added any water this morning, that's probably why. After Fumihiko even did the dishes. Hurray.
We took a little drive and then came home. I watched The West Wing and read some email. Then I started to write this.
And that's it. That was my day. Busy, but good. I'm looking forward to my holiday though. Yeah. Night.
