Bit of rain, bit of snow, a mixed bag today.
Despite today being my day off, I got up at a reasonable time. I didn't do very much though!
In the afternoon I made my brunch and watched Miss Marple on tape. It was "jolly good". I really enjoy a good Agatha Christie mystery.
Around 5:30 I started to think about my Christmas tree. Here it is, the 10th of December and I didn't put it up yet. So, I went into the tatami room and started to prepare for putting up the tree. I had to move a bunch of things out of my way, then I vacuumed the floor too. I was just finishing it up when hubby came home. He was hungry so we decided to go out for dinner quite soon.
Fumihiko wanted to go to our favourite izakaya, so we drove there. Unfortunately, they were closed so we had to go somewhere else. We went to Yorono-something...it's near my old apartment. We had quite a nice meal. Some spicy nabe, some tsukune, a salad and a couple of other dishes. It was nice. They didn't have my favourite dish tonight though. I really like their eggplant-cheese yaki. That's really good.
We hit the grocery store and got kerosene tickets, then came home again. We worked together and decorated our tree. Fumihiko put on one of the strings of lights, and helped me with the others. He also put a lot of ornaments on the tree. He did them a different way than I would, but you know what? It didn't really matter to me. The tree looks great! Fumihiko watched the end of The Last Samurai on TV. I didn't like it that much this time. Probably because I didn't watch it all the way through.
That's pretty much all that happened to me today. It was a nice peaceful day. I deserve one of those for a change!
