Cloudy and rainy day.
Well, Medea hit me up with a funky meme, so I'll do that today for your reading pleasure. I was given the letter "S" and I have to list ten things that are meaningful to me that start with the letter "S". At first I was stumped, but then I started to think about it and decided I could do it. So here goes in no particular order: Enjoy!
Strictly Ballroom- One of the funniest, sweetest little movies, and a personal favourite. Baz Luhrman's first film, the story of competitive ballroom dancing in Australia. Priceless.
Stamping, or as it is more properly called, Rubber Stamping.One of my hobbies that I rarely get to indulge in.
Shetland Sheepdogs-we had a kennel when I lived on the farm and raised Shelties. My dog was Gypsey, and she was a character. She had one ear that pointed up, and the other tipped over properly, just as it should. We never did get her other ear to tip. She chose me to be her owner!
Scotland-my mother's home country, and place where I lived for 3 years as a child. I still consider myself half Scottish.
Sunflower seeds-one of my favourite snacks. Low carb, healthy, yum. I love them plain, but on a salad is good too.
Sister-My sister is my toughest critic, and sometimes my friend. I have a complicated relationship with her.
Susan and Steve- Two friends of mine from college. Susan and I were once room-mates, but thankfully have forgotten all about that time, and stayed friends! They were the only ones of my friends from "back home" to make it to my wedding. They're kind of world travellers like me!
Sue Grafton-Kinsey Milhone, her detective is someone I'd like to become if I ever grow up!
Second Cup-Canada's answer to Starbucks. I love the coffee there, and have fond memories of grabbing a coffee at the Second Cup at the corner of 104th St and Whyte Ave in Edmonton.
Singapore-The last really "foreign" place I went. It was exciting and funky, and everything that I hoped it would be. I felt comfortable there, except for the weather!
