Cloudy, but not rainy.
A not great day.
Last night Fumihiko told me that he would be going to Osaka with his co-workers on Sunday night as his office's yearly trip. I thought it was great and was looking forward to some Me time! However, just as I was going to bed I realized that I have a dental appointment on Monday. I resolved to remind him of that in the morning and went to sleep. In the morning I woke up, rather unusually and reminded him of my appointment and I asked him to reschedule it for me. He refused and said that he would cancel his trip. Not what I wanted.
I got up just after he left and stayed up. I did computer stuff, showered, and cooked my brunch. I had a nice omelette today, it was spinach and cheese. I really liked it.
I headed off for the school and I had a nice lesson. I used my new heater today and it worked quite well. The one drawback is that it doesn't have a fan in it. It gets warm, but it doesn't spread over the room. Anyway, after the class I left the school and hit the drugstore on the way home for some chocolate and sweetener. I really wanted envelopes, but they didn't have ones I liked.
When Fumihiko came home we didn't do much. We used our respective comptuters for a while, then snuggled** in bed for a while. After that, we went out for dinner.
On the way to the restaurant we stopped in at another drugstore, and managed to get soap for the school, but not my envelopes. Sigh. Then we went to M's Dining and had a really big, but nice meal. We had the mixed grill with salad and soup & drink bar. It was all good. They do good steak at M's Dining. After dinner we went to my school to check on the heaters. I'd set them up and I just wanted Fumihiko to go over the directions with me, and check that they were okay. We stayed there for a while and figured out how to work my new heater. It has a timer in it so that I can set it to come on just before my lesson (or my arrival) so that the school will be a bit warm. The heater for the lobby works well too. It's fast!
Around 10 we left my school and were walking along to the car. At the end of the walkway to the parking lot, there's a really high step. It's really too high if you ask me. Well, I'm not sure exactly what happened, but one minute I was upright, the next moment I was on my hands and knees on the ground. Fumihiko tried to pull me up right away, but I told him to give me a minute. I hit the ground with a wallop. I don't know if holding Fumihiko's hand pulled me off balance or if my ankle turned but anyway.....ouch!
We drove home where I locked myself in the bathroom and surveyed the damage. My right knee has quite a nasty scrape on it, but my left one looks fine. There is a bruise coming on my right knee as well. It's in the purple/blue stage. The heels of my palms feel a little roughed up, but they're okay really. After I cleaned up the scrape and put a bandage on it, I did have a bit of stinging, but it's really not bad. One of my shoes has a huge scrape on the top of it. Luckily they were old shoes and pretty banged up anyway.
During the rest of the evening we watched Desperate Housewives...it was a good one tonight. Susan met her father and Bree shot at George's karaoke van. Carlos got out of prison and has found religion. Interesting!
We ended up watching a Woody Allen movie before Fumihiko took his bath and went to bed. It was okay. I don't really like Woody Allen and I don't really like Helen Hunt (the lead actress). I liked a lot of the supporting actors so enjoyed them.
And that was my day. My neck was much better today, I could turn my head, rather than swivelling my shoulders, but now my knee hurts. I think I'll take a pain tablet and go to bed. Night night.
Oh, check out my quiz blog for a meme that a friend tagged me with. What are your answers?
**No, this is not a euphemism for something else!
