Sunny in the morning, rainy in the afternoon.
This morning I got up around 9:30 and came through to the living room. I found my hubby finishing up my taxes. The first thing he said to me wasn't,"Good morning," or even,"Hello dear" it was,"I don't think you can be my dependent any more." As that has some serious financial ramifications for me I wasn't happy to hear that. I was quite ticked off. I watched the news and then went to take my shower. I was in a better mood afterwards. I thought that he was probably wrong!
We had a late breakfast, early brunch at Gusto and then went to the tax office. From there we drove to Marica. They had a space set up there for people to come and have their taxes checked. We got in right away and talked to one of their people. It went very well. The man checked some of Fumihiko's figures. He didn't even look at my receipts. I don't have to pay any tax this year, and I can still be Fumihiko's dependent. Hurray.
There was some time before my class so we visited the hundred yen shop. I got a few things, but not a lot. Fumihiko bought himself a comb. His hair has grown long enough that he borrowed mine today to comb it. I've never seen his hair this "long" before, and honestly, I love it! He looks normal. Different, in a good way.
On the way to my school we went through the McDonalds drive-through and I got a chicken salad to go. Fumihiko got a cheeseburger. He dropped me off at my school and then he went to see his doctor. I got ready for my class.
I had two hours between my classes today, so I used them to finish reading my novel. I just finished With No One As Witness by Elizabeth George and it was so good. My head is still spinning because of some of the events in the book. Very good addition to the Inspector Lynley series.
After my classes I called hubby to come and get me. He did and we went to Marumatsu. It's a Japanese style restaurant near our apartment. It was okay. Their food is fine, it's just not exciting. We bought groceries after that, and came home.
We watched The Naked Gun 33 1/3 which was really funny, then Desperate Housewives. It wasn't the best one tonight. After taking a bath, Fumihiko decided to pick a fight with me about something stupid. We've been fighting for the last 15 minutes, and I don't even know why. Finally, he's gone to bed. Hurray for that.
The Daily Rant
I saw a clip of Cliff Richard on tv tonight. I think he is or was in Tokyo. It made me think about all of the singers or actors that I've liked in my life. There have been many. However, as I age, I don't want to admit to liking the people that I did "way back when". In all honesty though, I still like most of them. Tonight, I'm making a confession. I still like my teen idols. They may have changed, their hair may be shorter, or have disappeared, but I still like them. Just because I don't listen to their music every day or watch their movies/tv programmes now, doesn't mean that I don't care about them.
So, David Cassidy, David Essex, Shaun Cassidy, Greg Evigan, Dirk Benedict, John Schneider, Andy Gibb(RIP) , Rene Simard, Barry Manilow, Cliff Richard, Rex Smith and any others that have slipped my mind, thank you for brightening up my youth and bringing happiness to this woman. I haven't forgotten you. I probably never will!
Night night.
