Cloudy, but relatively nice in the evening.
I had a nice day today. Yay. I went to bed around 2 last night, but couldn't fall asleep. It was really unfortunate. I got up after an hour, took some medicine and tried to go back to sleep. I had more success this time.
In the morning, Fumihiko got up and went out, and then I got up. I made the bed and then showered. That was nice. I started to make coffee and then Fumihiko came back home.
We actually had lunch at home today. I had bought a frozen quiche at the grocery store a week ago and we had it, plus salad and a bagel each today. The quiche was great! I would definitely have that again. Big surprise. I haven't had much success with frozen food here, but this was French so maybe a bit different.
In the afternoon Fumihiko watched more of the bonus features of ET, then I made him watch Grey's Anatomy. Towards the end of it, he decided to go out and go to the bank. Funny guy. When he's got a bee in his bonnet, there's no talking him out of it. He came back in a few minutes and we finished watching the show.
He had to go over to his Mum's again to walk the dog. While he was gone, I played around on the net then decided to make myself beautiful! I changed and found some quite nice clothes. I put on black pants and a satiny black shirt. I looked quite nice and when Fumihiko came home he was impressed enough to dress up a little too. We both looked very nice for our meal out.
We drove to the Washington Hotel for their Steak Viking. We've gone a few times over the last couple of years and it's usually quite good. This year there was no salad included, we had to buy that extra, so we didn't! Soup and rice or risotto was included as was Japanese tea and water. Any other beverage was not included. We had a lot of steak! I think I had 5 over an hour and a half and Fumihiko had 6. We could hardly move when we finished there. Oh, and I was supposed to get an ice cream cone too, but Fumihiko ate it. Probably just as well!
After dinner, we went to the mall and I bought us each a cappucino. That was a nice break. When we finished we bought a few groceries. I saw one of my ex-students. She's going to be working there now. Busy lady. I gave her my card and then finished my shopping!
We came home and did a bit of pre-packing for the trip. Hubby is going to take a bigger suitcase. I'm hoping that I can get everything in my small one. But, I doubt it! I packed my dress, shoes, nylons and underthings for the wedding. Now I just have to squeeze all the other things in. Make-up, clothes for the other days I'm there! Everything. Argh! Difficult maybe.
We watched ER tonight and it was very interesting. There's a new doctor in town and he's very interesting. I'll have to wait and see how things develop.
Fumihiko went to bed a little while ago. He has to go to work tomorrow, but he's going to try and take time off. He wants to take his mother to the doctor. And, maybe me! I'm doing a bit better. I'm still in pain, but not quite as badly as I was yesterday.
In other news, one of the women's e-groups that I help moderate is having a bit of a problem. It's the first big thing that's happened with it since I took on the job, so I'm hoping we can end everything amicably. Fingers crossed.
And that was my day. Tomorrow I hope to do a lot of laundry and then go out and run errands. I have to go to the post office and the banks before they close for the holidays.
