Sunny and warm.
Nice day. Hurray.
I got up early today. I was surprised with myself, but happy too! I turned on the TV and Lo! There was news...in English. Baseball came on later.
I did a bit of this and that this morning. I took the quilts off the bed and made it with blankets instead. It's been getting quite warmer lately. I also did a bit of vacuuming. Yay me.
I had lunch and watched the end of my Friends dvds. I feel ripped off though. I think, no, I know the dvd is missing an episode. I was in Canada when the last Friends show was broadcast. The DVD jumps directly from Monica and Chandler's surrogate mother going into labor to Monica having twins at the apartment. There was no delivery on the cd. I've seen it, I know that there should be more on the cd. The DVD also goes directly from Rachel and Ross in his apartment hugging to her being at the airport. I think there's something in between. I think the ending was 90 minutes, rather than 60. Anyone else back me up on this? I bought the cheapo version...that could be why.
I went out to the post office to make a payment for my books for the school. I also sent off some souvenirs for my niece and nephew. I hope they get there soon.
I came back home and then did more computer stuff. Fumihiko came home around 6 pm. Then he went over to his Mum's to walk the dog. When he came back, we went out to send off a box of magazines to my friend. She'll get a bunch of good ones.
We came home again and Fumihiko made dinner. I wasn't expecting him too do that. I was sort of hoping we'd go out, but that's okay! He bought steak, salad and sashimi for us. He cooked the steak and made a really great steak sauce. He said he mixed soy sauce, garlic and dashi. It was good, but very potent. I'm a bit worried that I'll be breathing garlic over my students tomorrow!
I didn't have to help much over dinner, I made the coffee and afterwards I washed and prepped the strawberries. And, Fumihiko did the dishes after dinner too. Bonus for me. Yay.
I suggested watching a movie tonight, so we did. I had bought a video in a second hand store a year or more ago, and we'd never watched it. Tonight we did. The movie was Blind Fury, a silly movie with Rutger Hauer playing an ex-solder who was blinded in the Vietnam War. I told hubby it was kind of like Zatoichi, an old Japanese story (that I haven't seen). It wasn't a well made movie, but it was quite fun. Rutger Hauer is very cool. I used to like him very very much when this movie was made.
After the movie, I came back to my computer, and Fumihiko watched regular TV. I put on some Sounds Like Canada podcasts. I was laughing at a couple of them because they were talking about hair salons and our relationship to our stylists. The sequel to that one was a discussion about The Mullet. They kept talking about Gowan's mullet. And we alllllllll know how big a fan I was (am) of Gowan.
Anyway, I think our evening is winding down. We might go and visit with Cap'n Jack tomorrow night, I'm not entirely sure. I hope so, but it's 3 hours long. Guess I shouldn't have a large diet cola before the movie!
That's me. I'm out of here. Night!
