Rainy and stormy all day.
The first thing I remember this morning was the storm. Around 8 am, we got tremendous rain, thunder and lightning. It was bad. I got up and closed all the windows that I'd left open overnight. It was still quite loud, but I went back to sleep until my alarm went off.
I did my usual stuff, email, blog-reading and watching Cold Case. I made and ate my lunch in a bit of a hurry today, as I started out late!
I was lucky and was able to bike to work in between storms, so I didn't get wet. Hurray for that. When I got to the school, it was hot, but not as hot as it was yesterday. Of course, it wasn't as hot or sunny either.
I had two classes today and they both went well. I'm not sure why, but I felt a bit scattered, like I wasn't really in the right headspace. Sometimes it happens. After I finished the second class, I debated with myself about leaving, but decided to stay and prepare for next week's class. I planned the next lesson and then as I was thinking about leaving heard a terrible noise start up again. The rain came back....very hard. I decided to stay where I was for a while. I had a cup of coffee and read some of my magazine. By the time I finished washing dishes, the noise had stopped so I decided to go home.
It had stopped raining. Yay. My bike's seat was wet, but I wiped it off and then got on my bike. I stopped along the way at my drugstore and then came home.
I spent a quiet evening waiting for my husband, but I had to wait a long time. He didn't get home until 9:30. Poor thing! He had a meeting after work.
We went out for dinner tonight to Moundon, the Korean restaurant/izakaya that we go to sometimes. We were the only people there. We had a great meal, but ate too much as usual. I don't know why my husband orders so much. I would have been happy with only one dish, but he ordered two dishes for us, and one really spicy dish for himself. I thought hat was a bit much. Oh well.
We came home via the grocery store. I'm going to cook tomorrow night again. It'll be tacos, so I hope it'll be tasty!
And that's it for me for today. It's been quite a nice day, except for the weather. Tomorrow I'm not busy at school, so I plan to do a few things around the apartment. I need to do some laundry or the mountain may fall on me while I'm sleeping and suffocate me! I also should run to the post office to mail off something to another foreign wife.
So, that's my blog entry for today. A pretty good day.
But wait! I just want to know if anyone ever reads my back entries? I carefully make the entries at the bottom, but I don't know if anyone but me ever reads them. Do you like them, or should I just abolish them? Hmm.
