October 12, 2007 - Friday

Warm and sunny.

A good day today. I got up at a reasonable time, showered and relaxed. I really didn't do too much during the day, and that was nice for me.

Around 3:30 I made my brunch and at 4 watched Medium before setting off to work. The sun was still shining a bit, and it was a lovely evening.

At work I got the school ready, and reviewed my lesson. I'm glad I did as I needed some puppets I'd forgotten to get out. The first class went okay, but not that well. The child was being difficult again. Sign. My second class of the evening didn't show up. I did call her, but didn't get an answer, then about 20 minutes before the end of class she called me back to apologize. She had a good reason for not coming, so I didn't mind, and I was glad that she'd let me know she wasn't coming.

Tonight, a new student started and he was a little early. We did all the money stuff and then started the lesson. Things went quite well but at the end he said that it was easy. Funny, they all say that the first time.....bah ha ha!

After class, I cleaned up, then called Fumihiko, who didn't answer. I left a message and a few minutes he got back to me. He came to pick me up and we went to M's Dining for dinner. We both had hamburgers, he had one with bacon and an egg on it, I had one with mustard and tomato sauce. Mine was really good. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was!

We came home and had a quiet evening at home. It's been quite nice really. I've surfed the net, read blogs, written email, all kinds of things. I'm not really sure what's on our agenda for this weekend. I need to do some shopping for me and the school. But don't worry, I'll tell you all about it later!

Oh, and one thing I thought was cool...Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize for his environmental work. He shares the award with United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, but good on him!
