October 17, 2007 - Wednesday

Cool and sunny.

Fumihiko went to the doctor early this morning and got his results. They need to do more looking, so next week, he'll have to check into the hospital and stay overnight for more tests. So much fun. Sigh.

He came home quite early. I was up, but only just! I was at my computer in my night-gown. I had made the bed already, so I really was up. I showered and got dressed.

We had lunch at Cocos today and it was quite nice. I had beef teppanyaki, but I pretended it was a beef dip from Boston Pizza. I was having it with baguette anyway, so I split a piece of bread, put some of the beef in it, and dipped it. Of course, the Japanese tasting sauce wasn't the same as the au jus BP used, but it was a little bit of nostalgia for me. Fumihiko just thinks I'm weird, but he's too scared of me to say that!

We took a drive in the afternoon and spent some time together.

In the evening we came home for a while, then went out for dinner. Fumihiko had suggested going to one of the nicer hotels in the area for their dinner, so that's what we did. We had Yamagata sirloin steak, with rice or bread, salad and soup. It was a very nice meal, and we were high above the city too, so we had a lovely view of the city.

We did a bit of driving around Tsuruoka. This little city is always moving and changing. New buildings spring up one minute, old buildings are torn down the next. We bought a few groceries for tomorrow night's dinner and our breakfasts. Should be nice I think.

We came home, I made coffee and we settled in on the couch for the evening with some Desperate Housewives. {Spoilers ahead if you haven't watched season 3 yet} Gabrielle met up with John again, Lynnette had to take a road trip with Nora, and Bree's son came home.

That's about it for the day. Tomorrow, Fumihiko is back to work, but his back is still pretty bad. I'll have a late class, but the early part of the day I'm alone. I'm looking forward to getting some of my stuff done for a change. Yay.
