November 28, 2007 - Wednesday

Sunny and clear.

Busy day. I didn't want to get up today, but I did. After a slow start I did do quite a bit around the house. I washed one of our towelkets, and then did some much needed dusting. I even gave the kitchen sink a thorough cleaning today. Yay for me.

In the afternoon I went out and paid for my UNICEF Christmas cards. I let the lady in the post office show me how to do it at the machine. For some reason they don't have that function in English. After that, I zoomed off in the opposite direction and deposited some money in my business account. Then, I had lunch at Marumatsu. It was okay as usual. Not great. In fact, if I get sick, I blame the shu-mei. They smelled a bit off. I even left one on the plate, I just wasn't sure about it. I was going to come home then, but remembered that I wanted to go to Kaneta. It's a clothing store near my apartment. It's not fancy, but every now and then I can find something really cool for my friends or family. I ended up getting a couple of things that I can't write about here. Hopefully my niece will like what I found.

I came home and then a few minutes later hubby did too. We spent some time together catching up.

After a while I made dinner. Tonight was my chicken stirfry, so I cut the shimeji mushrooms into smaller pieces, then I sliced the tofu. The final thing I did was cut up the chicken so it was in bite sized bits. I cooked them first, before adding the other things. The tofu went in last. We used silken tofu tonight, it was nice and soft. Dinner got rave reviews. Hurray.

We had a quiet evening. We watched Ugly Betty from Monday and while we did that I wrapped some of my Christmas presents. I got 3 packages ready to send. The big ones are still ahead of me though. Sigh. After Ugly Betty we watched Desperate Housewives. It was quite good. Susan got a drawer in Ian's house, much to the butler's dismay and Gabrielle got herself into trouble with some children's mothers. It was a fun episode. I'm really enjoying watching Kyle MacLachlan squirm when his mother is around.

And that was about it. Fumihiko went to bed a while ago. He's off work tomorrow. He has to go back and see the specialist at the hospital again. I have to go to work early in the evening because I have a class and the next couple of days will be quite busy at my school. I need to prepare.
