Clear and sunny.
Today was a good day. I got up to watch the US news and bade a fond farewell to Fumihiko as he went off to the specialist at the hospital. I vegged at home, and showered. Fumihiko came home about an hour and a half later. The doctor basically recommends a wait and see attitude, at least for now.
I did some present wrapping this morning/afternoon too. It took ages! I had a ton of stuff to do, but I got enough done. Fumihiko drove us to the post office and we mailed 4 packages internationally, and one nationally. It wasn't as hard as it has been in recent years, probably because I kept track of what was in each package, what it was worth and how much it weighed.
We had lunch in Moku-Moku today and it was quite nice. We had a nice chat over lunch and then went to a drugstore. I was looking for scotch tape. I'd finished our roll at home. I got some, but a different brand, and some other things for the apartment.
Fumihiko dropped me off at my school and I got busy. I vacuumed and then gave the toilet a thorough going over. I also did a spot of dusting. After all of that, I started on my classes. I decided to change the focus of today's class, so did work on that, as well as setting up my classes for tomorrow and Saturday. I will have a bit of time on Friday so I didn't do all the work necessary.
My class today went well. We worked on reading skills. I'd like to encourage my student to read better and faster. When I was at the Teacher Expo last month I talked to one of the publishers who just so happened to have a book on the topic! We did one of the exercises today and will probably do one next week too.
After class, I did the dishes, my paperwork and then called Fumihiko to come and get me. He did, and we planned to go to Bronco, the steak place near our apartment. However, it was full. There were more people in that place than I've ever seen before so we decided to go somewhere else. We drove to M's Dining and had steak there. It was nice.
We came home and Fumihiko put on Rocky Balboa to watch. It was enjoyable. I didn't pay as much attention to it as I should have, but I still thought it was okay. I had lots of email to read.
So that was my day basically. The next couple of days I'll likely be busy with Christmasy things. I have to wrap more presents and then mail them off too. ARGH. Then I hope to decorate my school tomorrow. I hope I can get everything done very soon. After that, I'll be free. Hurray.
That's it for me for today. I'll chat at you tomorrow night, most likely. Night night!
