November 30, 2007 - Friday ... Happy St. Andrew's Day!

Clear and sunny, rainy at night.

An okay day. I got up at my first alarm and was a bit surprised. Rather than go back to bed I stayed up though. I watched the news and then took a bit of a nap on the couch. I showered and took a longer nap on the couch. I spent most of the afternoon sleeping. I was just wiped, so I don't feel too guilty.

I got up, made my lunch and watched part of The 4400, then I left for work. I planned to go to the drugstore nearest my apartment, but part of the way to work I realized that I was long past it! I went to the other place, so no harm done really.

I only had two classes tonight but they went quite well. I was worried about the child one, but it turned out okay. My other student's one went well. After the classes I did my usual paper work then did something different. I started to decorate for Christmas. I took down a lot of the decorations and put up my Christmassy ones. I saved my new little tree for last. I phoned Fumihiko to come and help me, which he did. Basically I set up my new tree by myself, but I got Fumihiko to read the instructions to make sure I did it right. It has "fiber-optic" lights built in, so I needed to know that I wasn't doing something stupid or dangerous with the tree. It looks quite nice in the school now. I have a few other ideas for decorations, but they'll take a little longer. We'll see how it goes!

We came home and cooked dinner. We both did a bit. Fumihiko made pot-au-feu from a package we got at the grocery store last night, and I did fried chicken. Both turned out very nicely, and with a salad we had a good supper. I did the dishes tonight because Fumihiko wasn't doing too well.

We were having a quiet evening at home, Fumihiko was dressed in his pajamas and was going to open a beer when he asked me if I wanted to go out! We did need some coffee creamers, so we decided to go out. I took the old meat trays back to the store too. I always forget otherwise. We got a few things, some healthy, most not, and then came back to the apartment.

We ate, drank or both and Fumihiko watched a bit of Lost on the TV. It was all in Japanese, so I didn't watch it. He's now gone off to bed, and quite frankly, I want to get there too. I have a semi busy day tomorrow, and I'm teaching children so I need to have some energy. Need sleep for that!
