Clear, with a bit of rain in the afternoon.

I had a good day today. I didn't really expect that I would, but I did. I got up early-ish and had my shower. Then I settled in to watch Criminal Minds. There's nothing like watching a serial killer before breakfast to prepare me for the day! Fumihiko came back from the doctor around 10:30 and a bit after 11 we went out for Brunch.

After a fast meal at Gusto, I went to my school. Luckily things were mostly ready to go, as I was a bit late. I did something a little different for me today. I had three classes in a row, with only 10 or 20 minutes between classes, so I thought I'd put the oil heater out in the lobby instead of the tall one that takes more energy. It was a good move, as the lobby area soon became warm and it stayed that way all day. In my classroom I used my air-conditioner heater. I usually use it anyway when I'm teaching children as I don't want to risk children touching or running into the oil heater. As I had preheated my classroom using the oil heater, the air conditioner heater was basically maintaining the heat, rather than working really hard on heating.

My classes went well. I had a new student start today and she was fine. She was quite nervous, which is a bit odd as her English is good. The kids lessons all were fun. In my last class the student's mother was 10 minutes late picking them up, but as it was the first time it had happened and I didn't have another class right away I couldn't get angry. The mother even called me to tell me she was on the way. At first I had sent the kids outside, thinking that someone was waiting to meet them, but there wasn't anyone. So, I made them come back in to wait. No big whoop.

I had a lot of paperwork today. I did a bit of filing and some prepping for classes next week. Finally, I did the dishes and called Fumihiko. He picked me up and we drove off.

We didn't really have a set destination, so we went to Doutours and had coffee, then hacked around the mall a bit. Fumihiko wanted to eat, so we left the mall and drove off. Neither of us had a plan, so I finally suggested Cafe Framboise. We went there and had a really nice meal. We both had chicken. I had chicken with a herb crumb coating and Fumihiko had chicken with shrimp and clams. His looked nice, but smaller than mine. The meal was very nice, and it was nice to go somewhere that we don't go all the time. Somewhere where they take pride in good cooking.

After dinner I suggested going to Yamaya, the store that sells foreign foods, and the hardware store nearby. I was going to ask to go there tomorrow anyway and we were halfway there already. First we went to the hardware store where I bought some things for the apartment...home, not my school. I did get one thing for my school, a new ink cartridge. Then, we went over to Yamaya. I got a few things. I got some more dijon mustard, sunflower seeds, crackers and some feta cheese. I'm not sure if I'll make my Greek Salad for Christmas or not, but if I don't have feta, I won't be able to. After our trip around the store we came home.

We had a quiet evening in. I watched my usual three shows, CSI: Miami, Cold Case--which was really good tonight, and Grey's Anatomy. That was the first time in 3 weeks that we've watched it when it was on. I had watched the other episodes, but Fumihiko hadn't so I think he didn't really know what was happening.

Tomorrow I'm going to be at home for a while. I know that Fumihiko has his wrestling in the morning and may have a meeting after that. Me, hopefully I'll stay at home and write Christmas Cards. I read on the net today that it's already too late to send my cards to Canada. Europe is okay, but not Canada. I'm not sure why!
