January 3, 2008 - Thursday

Clearing and cool. Windy.

Well, today was the last day of our holiday, and I made the most of it...to sleep! I woke up at 10 something, surprised because I thought I had set my alarm to wake me up for the news. I hadn't! I did get up around 11 and took a daytime cold pill. Fumihiko gave me a cup of coffee and by the time I had watched the news on the TV, I was half asleep. I curled up in a little ball on the couch and slept for about 45 minutes, then got up and announced to Fumihiko that I was going back to bed. I really didn't get up again until 5 pm.

At five I did get up, and we checked the mail. I'd gotten a couple more nengajo today, which was nice. I made up a couple of nengajo to send to people who had sent to me, but I hadn't to them, and then we went out.

Tonight we had dinner at Moku-Moku. It wasn't easy getting there though. For some reason, Fumihiko seemed to have forgotten where the restaurant was. He kept going down back streets and going around blocks, but not anywhere near the restaurant. However, we did get there and had a decent meal. I had chicken with cheese and Fumihiko had steak. He wasn't too impressed with his steak though.

After dinner we headed over to MaxValu, first to mail my nengajo, and then to buy some groceries. I needed new supplies for the school. I got some coffee creamer and sugar, and also some cleaning supplies. We got groceries for the apartment too.

Fumihiko asked me if I wanted to go by my school before going home. I told him that I did, and yet, 10 minutes later, he turned down a road to get to our apartment. I reminded him that we were going to the school first, and we had to do a U-turn and went off in the right direction. At the school, I dumped off the stuff, and set the heater for tomorrow afternoon. My classroom's temperature was 8 degrees when I visited tonight. That's a little cold.

We came home, and Fumihiko and I watched some of the bonus discs of At World's End. They were quite interesting. A bit after midnight I made us some hot chocolate which was nice and warming. I'm probably going to go to bed soon as I'm really tired.

My nose is still streaming and I still have a headache. It's quite bad right now. I'm not sure which is worse to have, my cold or my headache! However, I hope I'm nearly over my cold.

Tomorrow I'm back to work, wish me luck! Night night.
