Cloudy, rainy, couldn't make up it's mind sort of day.

I went to bed really late as usual for me, and slept in a bit late. I did wake up enough to tell Fumihiko that if he wanted to go for lunch early he should come in and wake me up around 11:30. He tried, but I think we both got sleepier! Still, we got up and had coffee before going out for lunch at Kintaro Sushi.

After the sushi I wanted to get ink for my printer in the apartment, so we were driving to a store to get some. However, I remembered that there would be a new Hard Off and Off House opening in a small shopping complex, so we went to have a look. It was nice, and there was a bit of interesting stuff there, but the whole place seemed musty. My nose plugged up almost as soon as we went in. We didn't buy anything, but did have a good poke around.

We continued to the Mall. That's where things went a bit badly. I didn't know what Fumihiko was thinking...I suggested going to the hardware store next to the mall, or the electronics shop behind Jusco, either of which would be a good place to get the ink cartridges. Instead, he took me to Jusco. And not close to the hardware store either, right outside Jusco. Huh? I was a little cheesed off to say the least. When I went in, they did have ink, but only the recycled kind. I don't mind that of course, I just wanted to do a price check but couldn't. Then, to top it all off, my husband had disappeared. I decided to buy the ink that was there, I really needed it, and make do. When I found my hubby he was surprised that I'd already bought the ink. He thought I'd wanted to shop around. Which I did, but I didn't know that I was going to be given the choice. We had a drink upstairs and had a bit of a discussion. He'd thought I'd said "the electronics shop IN Jusco" which I wouldn't have said because the area is so pathetic that I don't consider it an electronic shop. He didn't hear the "behind" part. It doesn't really matter, but it's just another example of us not communicating well.

We did a little more shopping and then just when I thought we were going to come home, we started driving out to Sakata. Huh? Fumihiko wanted to see the port area, to see if anyone was fishing. We had an okay drive out there. It was nice to be able to "test" the new car. We came back in to Sakata. Fumihiko asked me if I wanted to have dinner in Sakata but I wasn't hungry yet. We headed back to Tsuruoka.

We stopped in at a Book Off and I got a couple of dvds. I got Shaun of the Dead and Unbreakable. I hope to watch Unbreakable soon. I liked it when it was in the theater.

Tonight's dinner was at a soba restaurant. We had pork soup with soba and some tempura. It was nice, although it wasn't really what I had wanted for my dinner! No idea what I would have picked instead, just not really a big fan of Japanese food. I go through phases where I like it and don't like it!

We came home and immediately Fumihiko turned on some crappy Japanese tv. I got a bit stroppy and told him that he wouldn't hear from me again this evening, I'd watch something on my computer. He wasn't happy, but turned off the TV. I did suggest watching a movie, which he thought was a good idea. He bathed and then came back to watch something.

We watched Shaun of the Dead tonight. It was a "romzomcom" and was quite fun. We both liked it a lot.

Fumihiko went to bed around midnight, I stayed up to blog and do some of my usual things. I put the garbage out for Fumihiko to take in the morning. Not my favourite job, but has to be done!

So that was my day. I'm really looking forward to having tomorrow alone in the daytime. Wish me luck! Night.
