Very rainy most of the day, a little clearer at night.
I got up at a goodly time but couldn't get interested in the offerings on the telly, so I went back to sleep. I slept for a lot longer than I meant to. Sigh. Oh well. Day off and all that.
It rained a lot in the early part of the day and I didn't want to go out. I also didn't use the air conditioner because I'm trying to save the polar bears. Long story.
I watched the movie of Buffy the Vampire Slayer again in the afternoon. It's a guilty pleasure. I like Luke Perry.
I did do a bit around the house as well. I swept the joint....the vacuum cleaner seemed like too much work...dishes, did a bit of laundry and then in the later part of the afternoon I wrapped up some presents for my niece. After Fumihiko came home he helped me box up a couple of books to send back to a friend. I didn't need help with the books, more with holding the box just so while I taped it shut.
I showered after hubby came home and then we talked about going out versus getting something to cook. Well, I was hungry and the apartment was hot so I voted for going somewhere with air conditioning. Fumihiko suggested our favourite restaurant, but I said okay, if he phoned to check that they were open. They're outside our city, so it's a little bit of a drive to go there. He did call, but there was no answer. We decided to go somewhere in our city. We went to Simon. It's a French/Japanese fusion sort of place. We both had steak and it was very nice. There was even dessert-ume sherbet and I think pecan pie.
We came home via a convenience store to send off the books to my friend. We had a quiet evening at home. Fumihiko's back and neck are really bad in this weather.
Around 11 he asked me if I was hungry! Surprisingly I was. Neither of us had eaten much during the day, so our dinner was basically our breakfast. He needed to take some medicine and had to eat before that. Instead of going to an all night restaurant, we went to an all night bento shop. We each got something there and then came home and ate. It was quite good. I had chicken and pumpkin, he had katsudon.
And that's about it for my day. It was nice. I would have liked to go out in the daytime, but the weather was really bad. Still, I finally got my niece's presents wrapped so I can mail them off on Wednesday if the weather is okay.
Gotta go. Night night!
