August 7, 2008 - Thursday

Hot and sunny. Not too muggy.

I got up this morning all ready to watch the news, but surprise! It wasn't on. What else is new? I ended up a bit later watching The Punisher, the one with Dolph Lundgren. It was okay. It's one of those comic books that I don't really know.

I had a quiet day at home today. I did some laundry and prepared some books to send to a friend of mine. I have to swap out a couple of books though.

I had my lunch before I left for work. I had my usual omelette and also a bagel from the mall. It was lovely and crispy when I toasted it. I have half of it with avocado on it. Yum.

When I got to my school today it was a sauna in there. It was over 34 degrees. Sigh. I worked on getting it cooled down, but it took a while. I've discovered that what works for me is a combo of the AC and my fan. The fan gets the cool air circulating better.

I was doing my personal prep before the class when the mother of my students called to say they would be late. I waited for them, and when they came we had a good, if a bit shorter class.

Fumihiko picked me up after my class, but a bit late. He'd had to work late tonight. We needed to go to the drugstore, so we just made it. We went in 5 minutes before they closed. We only had to get one thing, toilet paper. It's a bit big for me to carry on my bike.

When we came home, I started on dinner. It was quite simple tonight. We had pasta with bottled pesto sauce. I served it with a couple of slices of whole wheat bread and a salad. Dinner got great reviews! There was even chocolate pudding for dessert. Fumihiko did the dishes. Hurray!

We had a quiet evening at home. I did rewatch CSI from Saturday. This time there was no storm so the dialogue stayed in English. Yay.

So, basically that was it. I'm now using my new headphones in my computer so I can listen to music without waking up my husband. I love my headphones!! I wonder if I can use them in my iPod? Ha!

I should run. I'm tired! Night night.
