Sunny and hot.
Today turned out to be quite good after all! A bit surprising for me, but still nice.
Fumihiko went out early to his mother's house to do some yard work. I slept/lazed while he was gone. When he came back I showered and then I made brunch. We had French Toast and it was pretty good! Very yummy.
My TV, the TV that I bought when I first came to Japan and carted all over Japan with me, has been having problems recently. There's a horizontal line across the top and the picture gets very skewed because of that. Fumihiko decided today that he was going to buy a new TV today. Today! We went looking in a couple of the big electronic stores and of course discovered that the first one had the best price! Back we went. However, Fumihiko had also made an appointment for me with a dentist today, so time was getting tight. We left, after promising the guy that we'd come back later.
At the dentist's office, I got poked and prodded, and told that my problem was all because of my wisdom teeth, or specifically one of my wisdom teeth. So, deep breath here, I'm going to have one of them removed later this month. I'm a touch worried about it, because I haven't a lot of confidence in dentists but on the other hand, I do live here and don't have dental insurance back home. Besides, I'd like this problem to be over with before I go back to Canada.
Fumihiko and I went back to the electronics store and bought the TV. We also got a dvd recorder in the same package and I picked up a set of headphones for us too. One of us is always watching something the other person doesn't want to hear. Thanks for the suggestion...you know who (it was a looooonnnggg time ago).
After all of this, we decided to have an early dinner. We went to the soba/tempura place again for a quick bite. It was really nice.
Then, we went out to Mikawa Mall and did a little bit of shopping. Not much. Fumihiko got socks. Then, we went to see Made of Honor. It was cute. It definitely wasn't a great film, but it was cute.
When the movie was over we bought a couple of things for the new TV in Aeon, then got some bread. We zoomed back to Tsuruoka and had a late dinner at Gusto. We bought a few groceries on the way home.
At home, Fumihiko started to put together our new TV. Okay, maybe "put together" is the wrong phrase, but he started to set it up. He got it working, but things aren't completely set up yet. Tomorrow hopefully he can do that after work.
And that was our day. We did have a brief spat in the morning, but other than that did really well and didn't fight. Yay us.
So, that was our day. It was quite nice. Talk to you tomorrow night I think. Night!
