December 4, 2008 - Thursday

Sunny and quite warm. Lovely autumn day.

I did my usual things this morning, plus two more. I wrapped up a couple of gifts and wrote a couple more cards. Around 2 I went out. I first went to the bank and paid my school's water bill, then made a couple of deposits. After that I popped over the street and sent my cards and parcels by mail. I felt a little sorry for the woman that helped me in the post office, but she was nice. AND she didn't ask me where Scotland was! However, this year I'd written UK at the bottom of my card, so hopefully that helped.

I came home, watched Criminal Minds and CSI and then headed off to work. I usually go via the drugstore on Thursdays, but didn't today. I went straight to my school I had a lot of "stuff" to do. I had boxes to put away, a lesson to prepare for tomorrow, and some cleaning.

My class was fine today. The children didn't really fight and seemed to understand what we were doing. Hurray for that. My second student had postponed her lesson as she had a business seminar she wanted to attend.

After class I cleaned up and did paperwork quite quickly, then called Fumihiko. I told him that I wanted to go to the drugstore before it closed. He said okay, and came and picked me up. We made it a few minutes before the joint closed. I got my sweetener and we each picked up some chocolate. I got my Zero. It's sugarfree and not too bad.

We came home and ate a lovely nabe that Fumihiko had prepared. He'd even boiled some daikon and made miso sauce with onions for it. It was all very nice. I did the dishes, which weren't too bad for a change! I think Fumihiko had done a few of them as he worked. Yay him.

We had a quiet evening. When he was going to watch some (horrible) Japanese stuff, I suggested checking out NHK's movie. There wasn't a movie, but there was an interesting show with Paul Newman and Robert Redford talking about their careers and friendship. I wasn't sure if Fumihiko would enjoy it, but he did. Yay. We had a bit of a snuggle on the couch later. Fumihiko has a year end party tomorrow and he'll be away all night. He doesn't want to go, but I'm looking forward to a night of me-time! Maybe I'll wrap a few Christmas presents too. Let's hope.

So, that was my day. It was a pretty good one. Wish me luck tomorrow....Luck and good weather please!
