Hesperia Christian met Shandon, one of the few Div VA schools they have played this season and easily won 77-54. It was one of HCS' best efforts of the season as every player scored tonight. Josh Hamilton had 25 points and made very good shot selection with a 69% FG percentage. Zach Howard came off the bench and played his best game of this season. Howard scored 14 points and had 4 steals. Further he had only two immaterial turnovers. Trevor Wagstaffe also had perhaps his 2nd best performance of the year with 8 points, 8 assists and two steals. He further controlled Malcom Lynch in keeping him way under his average. Unfortunately he continues to lead the team with eight turnovers this evening. Mike Petersen had his typical solid play with 11 points and led the team from the charity line shooting 75%. Most importantly, the second team came in, played a lot of minutes and performed as well as the first team. HCS is presently 8-3. Shandon drops to 2-4. The Patriots will now meet Grace Brethren in the Consolation Championship on New Year's Eve.
