Warrior's Blood
Chapter 2
The Fight
Goten's breath was knocked out of him as he hit the ground. Goten quickly flipped to his feet and again took battle stance. He looked around at his surroundings. Wherever he was, he wasn't on Earth. He was in a field with strange rock formations everywhere. He frowned as he looked to the sky, which glowed with a purple color, and the grass which was light blue. Goten put down his guard and felt for high fighting powers. As Goten detected hundreds of high fighting powers all over the continent, he began to get worried.
Suddenly his captor jumped out of the portal after him. Goten again got into fighting stance as he stood face to face with the dark man. The man cracked his neck and smiled with confidence, "Ok, kid. Show me what you got."
Goten had always hated being called kid. He knew he was one of the strongest people in the universe, and resented the word which made him feel inferior. Goten growled as the portal suddenly closed, "I'm not here to play your stupid games freak! I just want to go home!"
The man kept on smiling, "I am the only one on this planet who can take you home. So kid, the only way you are getting home is to beat me."
Goten got the first good, up close look at the man. He had battle scars all over his body. He had also watched as the dark man moved in smooth, skillful, warrior-like movements. Goten took off his black backwards hat and blue coat, leaving him with a white long sleeved shirt and his jeans. He knew from observing the man that this would not be easy. This guy may be strong, but I know I can take him. After I beat him I'll make him take me home, Goten smiled as he thought to himself, besides I can't lose, he doesn't know I can turn super Saiyian!
As Gohan landed, Piccolo walked over to him, "Gohan, I knew you would come. Dende and I will explain everything to you. Come, the others are already here waiting for you."
Gohan nodded as he looked at his mentor and role model. In all the years he had never lost an ounce of respect for the Nameken. Gohan smiled as he thought to himself, Incredible, Piccolo looks as young as he did the day I met him.
As Gohan walked into the palace conference room he was met with familiar faces. Krillin and 18 sitting down at the table talking, Chaozu and Tien talking with Yamcha, Vegeta sitting down frowning in his trademark arms crossed posture, and Trunks walking back and forth impatiently with his arms crossed in front of him. It had been a little bit since Gohan had seen the whole group in one place like this.
As he entered they all greeted him warmly and got ready to start. Dende walked to the middle of the room as Piccolo leaned against the doorframe listening. Just as Dende was about to start, Krillin spoke up, "Isn't Gokou going to be here?"
"Yes," answered Gokou as he teleported into the room with Uubuu.
Vegeta smirked as he saw Gokou enter. He thought to himself, Gokou is getting pretty strong, and the brat is coming along nicely. After we kill whoever this new threat is I'll have to spar with them.
Dende waited for Gokou and Uubuu to take their seats. As they found a place to sit he started, "At 4:23 p.m. this afternoon Goten was abducted by a large, dark man in Satan's City Park."
Trunks stopped pacing, "What? I left the park a couple of minutes before it happened! I knew I should have stayed! I could have helped him."
Dende shook his head, "No, Trunks. This man was very strong. He knew how to lower his power readings very low, but I could still tell that he was very powerful."
Gohan interrupted, "Where did he take him?"
Dende answered, "He threw him into the portal he had entered in."
Gokou stood up concerned, "A portal?"
"Yes, a portal to the future," answered Piccolo still leaning against the doorframe.
"Great, " said Trunks, "more talk of the future."
Gohan stood up, "Why?"
Dende looked at Piccolo, and shook his head, "We don't know."
Yamcha groaned, "You really get scared when a god doesn't know an answer."
Tien got to his feet, "Ok, how do we go after him?"
Piccolo walked into the room and stood by Dende, "We don't know. At the moment, Goten seems lost."
Everyone in the room's head went down. Trunks walked up to the god with his fists clenched, "Dende there has to be something we can do!"
Dende just sat silent with his head down. "Trunks, all we can do now is wait, King Kai is looking into the matter right now."
Trunks walked out the room and flew into the air at full speed.
Gokou walked briskly out of the room to the edge of the floating palace, "I don't believe that there is nothing at all that we can do to find Goten. I will look forever if I have to."
Uubuu got up and stood with his mentor, "I don't know Goten, but if he is the son of Gokou I will help."
Every one of the warriors stood by Gokou signaling their willingness to help him. Without a word Gokou shot off and seconds later all of the warriors left after him.
Goten was slammed into a mountain. The fight had taken them over 30 miles and Goten was fighting hard as he could, but he could tell he was losing. He hadn't even landed a hit to the super fast and strong dark man and he was almost killing him. Goten wiped the blood off of his face and spit out the blood that was constantly filling in his mouth. If he didn't turn super Saiyian soon the man would kill him.
The man floated in the air waiting for Goten to come out of his hole in the mountain, " Come out, boy. I still see some fight in you yet."
Suddenly the man had to cover his eyes as the mountain exploded into a million pieces. Goten was floating in the air beat up, bloody, and glowing with a beautiful golden aura. Goten was super Saiyian. He wiped the blood from his mouth and turned to the man with a menacing look on his face, "Don't call me boy."
The man smiled, "I was wondering how long it was going to take you to turn super Saiyian. Now we can really start to play."
Goten was horrified, he had no backup, no senzu beans, and the man was extremely powerful. If the man was playing with him before, when he would really start to fight, how strong would he be?
The man teleported behind him and slammed him towards the ground. Goten's body screamed with pain, as the man started to use more of his power than before. Just as Goten's body was just about to hit the ground, the man quickly flew under him and uppercutted him back into the air. Goten saw stars as he felt his back and 3 ribs snap from the force of the impact. More blood splattered from his mouth as he fought passing out. This guy's hits were stronger than anyone Goten had ever fought, including his dad. Goten now realized he was in big trouble.
Eye watering pain shot through his body in waves. Goten found that he couldn't move his legs. Goten automatically went out of super Saiyian because of the pain and fatigue. With all of Goten's remaining strength he made a fireball and hit the man in the chest. The man smiled at the weak attempt to hurt him and the kicked Goten in the chest breaking the rest of his ribs. As Goten flew through the air, there was no doubt in his mind that he was going to die.
Goten's life flashed before his eyes in millions of images. There was when he had first seen his dad, when he had first turned super Saiyian, when him and Trunks first turned into Gotenks, and Gokou smiling at him with his goofy smile. In the image Gokou suddenly turned serious and said something which Goten would hold in him forever, "I'm proud of you Goten."
The man caught Goten by the throat and snapped him out of his hallucinations, "Goten, you should have been practicing more."
Goten shook his head in disbelief and shock, "How the hell do you know my name?"
Just before the man knocked Goten out with one last hit before he said to him, "Your dad told, me."
Goten woke up in a rejuvenation tank. Through the glass he was staring at a woman in her late 30's. She was smiling at him through the glass. There was something familiar about her face. Goten looked around in his metal and glass prison. He suddenly wanted out. Goten screamed as the tank shattered with his power.
Goten staggered out in pain, drenched, and naked. The woman caught him as he stumbled and fell. Goten looked into her eyes. His head tilted with curiosity as he suddenly recognized the face, "Bra?"
Bra nodded and smiled, "Yes, now you rest Goten. Welcome to Dead Earth. I'll tell you the whole story after you get your rest."
"Bra?" Goten said again as he passed out in her arms.
