Chapter 6
The Chosen One
A man in a dark hooded cloak walked through the halls of the castle of Toruku. His lonely steps echoed throughout the wide corridors. He had only two missions in life, one was to serve his partner Toruku to Toruku's death and the other was to kill as many people and become strong as possible.
Turles rose his head as he entered the throne of Toruku, "Toruku, I have felt incredibly high power readings from the Southern part of the Earth. I have also noticed that Charnos has not sent a report or checked in for about 8 months."
Toruku lifted his head showing his red, blood shot eyes, "What do you think? Go check it out, you half-witted idiot! And if you ever approach my throne again with such stupid news I'll kill your smelly ass right where you stand. Do you hear me?"
Turles nodded and answered, "Yes Toruku, I'm sorry. But there is one other bit of the news I didn't get to tell you."
Toruku glared at Turles with a glare so evil and powerful that it would make a sane man crazy. "WHAT!"
Turles didn't even flinch, he wasn't scared of Toruku. "The ki I felt, belonged to a Saiyian."
Toruku's face suddenly changed into an innocent and surprised look. "What? Could it be?" Toruku thought for a second and then addressed Turles, "Turles, I will personally accompany you on your trip to investigate the large ki readings."
Turles smiled. He was a little surprised that Toruku would leave the castle. It seemed that ever since he had killed off all the resistance and high powers of Earth he didn't do anything but sit in his chair and stare at the wall. Turles walked out of the room and started down the empty hall. "Looks like things are going to finally get interesting again."
Goten punched Uubuu into the ground. He was feeling stronger than he had ever felt before in his whole life. He felt like a new person. He noticed his physique had changed much too. Ever since he was a kid he had had muscles but now they had so much definition. So much like his… Goten stopped fighting and asked Uubuu a question he had been wandering ever since his first day on Dead Earth.
"Uubuu?"
Uubuu stopped fighting and faced Goten, "What?"
"Why me? Why did you bring me back instead of Trunks or Vegeta or even my dad?"
Uubuu looked into Goten's eyes. "Because, you have a power none of them possess. You were the youngest Saiyian ever to turn super Saiyian. If your brother had continued training, he would have surpassed your father and every other warrior on Earth. But he became a scholar. You were stronger than your father and your brother when all of you were six. At six Gokou was living out in the forest killing animals and protecting the number 5 dragon ball which he believed to be his Grandfather. When Gohan was six, he was training with Piccolo to fight Vegeta when he came to Earth for the dragon balls. And when you were five you became super Saiyian. Do you see the jumps in power? You are the strongest."
"Yeah but Trunks was about the same age as me and he could turn super Saiyian too."
"But you are stronger."
"But--"
Uubuu punched Goten into the wall of the gravity room. "Shut up. I'm tired of talking when we should be training."
Goten groaned as the hit took the air out of him. He had always known that with every fight he was becoming much stronger and that one day he would be able to defeat Uubuu. Uubuu had been teaching him all of his techniques and the techniques he had learned from his father. Now Goten felt was the time to show Uubuu how powerful he really was.
Uubuu flew to the control panel and rose the gravity in the room from 1700 to 1950. Uubuu strained to stay on his feet as Goten's legs started to wobble. Goten roared as he turned super Saiyian 3. His golden hair stretched to the small of his back, his bulk increased by 100%, and he had electricity and the golden aura around him. His legs straightened and he stood up straight. He casually walked over to Uubuu who couldn't move and watched as Uubuu tried his best not to look too overwhelmed.
Uubuu watched Goten as he walked around the room without effort. He was surprised to see that he had mastered super Saiyian 3! Goten looked at the dark man who struggled to just stand, "Uubuu, I've been practicing at 2200 times gravity for the past week when you and Bra sleep. I didn't want to tell you but I am now much stronger than you."
Uubuu smiled as he slowly turned off the gravity room and walked out of the gravity room, "I knew it would happen one day. You should be strong enough to take on Turles but I am not sure about Toruku. Show me your full power."
Uubuu pushed the small button on the room and watched as the room became a capsule. Uubuu gave the capsule to Goten and crossed his arms to watch Goten's display of power.
Goten was excited, he had always wanted to see what would happen if he really let loose when he wasn't in the gravity room. Goten looked at Uubuu, "Stand back."
The dark night started to brighten as Goten started concentrating his ki. The black of the night was replaced with the blue ki that was coming from Goten. Uubuu was blown away as Goten screamed in the air and accidentally blasted away the ground he was standing on. Goten yelled as his ki destroyed everything in a 30-yard radius.
Half the world away Toruku and Turles looked to the south. The sun was up but in that direction the sky was getting brighter and brighter. Toruku looked at Turles, "We leave as soon as possible."
Goten stopped as he felt that he was going to do further damage to the area. "I didn't get to show you all of it but I was about halfway there."
Uubuu's jaw dropped, "Halfway?"
Goten yawned. "Let's get some sleep and tomorrow we can talk about going to the west to fight Toruku and Turles."
Uubuu snapped his head up, "Goten I've been thinking. This world is already as dead as its name. I think you should just go and save your time and let ours take its course. "
Goten shook his head, "No, you brought me here and showed me everything so I could kill Turles and Toruku. Now you are telling me to just go home?"
"Goten, we brought you here and showed you everything not for revenge on Toruku. We did it to preserve your timeline and to make sure the same thing doesn't happen to anyone else. We have made you as strong as or even stronger than Toruku in about a year. You are the chosen warrior."
"Why are you telling me all this now, and what do you mean chosen warrior?"
"Now you are ready," Uubuu flew Goten to a large temple. It looked like the old Egyptian temples that Goten had seen in books at school. It was about 400 meters high and was protected by a force field. As Uubuu touched the force field it sent a shock through his body blowing him back about 200 ft.
"We can never touch the temple because of the field, but what we can make out on the foreign writing on the door is that there would be a savior from Toruku that comes from the past and not in the present. He would have the blood of a warrior and the body of an adolescent. He would have the hair of a Saiyian but only half the blood, and most important would be the youngest child of the supreme fighter. "
Goten shook his head in disbelief, "It's me."
Uubuu nodded his head and continued, "With a little help from Bra's language decoder and binoculars we also saw that it prophesized that the portal would open on the exact day it did so I could bring you to the future and train you."
Goten walked to the temple's force field and touched it. To Uubuu's surprise his hand was unaffected. Uubuu flew closer to Goten, "It's true," he looked at Goten and nodded, "you are the chosen one."
Goten said nothing as he took Uubuu's hand and helped him walk through the portal. Goten walked to the temple doors and turned to Uubuu, "Now what?"
Suddenly the temple doors opened releasing the secrets of the temple to the two warriors. Goten and Uubuu looked at each other for a while before starting to enter.
The corridors were thick with stale air and covered with dust. Uubuu looked around at the walls, "Here it is, the whole story of what happened in our timeline."
Goten looked at the primitive drawings. He looked as the walls showed Toruku first coming to Earth as a good person. Goten knew what happened after Toruku came to Earth. Goten really didn't want to revisit those bad memories again so he walked towards the more recent pictures. Goten stopped as he saw himself fighting with Toruku on the wall.
"Uubuu."
Uubuu walked over but stopped staring at the wall about 5 feet down from Goten. He nodded, and went to Goten. Goten looked at Uubuu's downhearted face, "What did you see?"
Uubuu didn't answer the question, "What do you want Goten?"
Goten was worried about what Uubuu had seen but had to put that conversation on hold. What he had was more important. "Uubuu look at the pictures of the future."
The drawings showed Goten lose in the upcoming battles. It had his own father Gokou holding Goten's lifeless body over his head in triumph! "What does this mean Uubuu?
A tall green man walked down the corridor, "The drawings are what will happen if the future continues without change."
Uubuu and Goten quickly got into fighting stance, "Who are you, and how did you get in here?"
The man smiled, "Both of you know who I am, I am Dende."
