The extended spike is a spike with one bounce against the ceiling extra. This can be used when you are on the wrong side for a normal spike. That means it can be used instead of a shadow. Practice both moves and find out which one you can do fastest. The hard part of this move is when you wanna do it real fast. It's pretty damn hard to control the direction of your worm if you do so.
