As any X-Phile knows, there are tons and tons of great lines from our favorite show. Many are deeply poignant, others are comedic, and some would just make great computer sound bytes. I've tried to include all the great lines that the show has produced over the years, and if you can think of any that are missing, feel free to contact me and let me know. I'll see what I can do about locating them. I have categorized my collection by season for easier navigating. Many wavs are the result of my own work, others have been filched from other people's great websites, like Pete Nelson's TV Wavs (which has been shutdown). So enjoy as you relive all the best moments from Season Four!
Scully: Nothing happens in contradiction to nature, only in contradiction to what we know of it.
Mulder: I've seen too many things not to believe.
Ab-Roller 36K
Scully: Meanwhile, I've quit the FBI and become a spokesman for the Ab-Roller.
Good Night, Mom 185K --thanks to Val N. (if you would like to take this .wav to be placed on your own site, please contact Val N. and ask first!)
Mulder: Whoa! Don't move, don't move. Damn.
Scully: You still planning on making a home here?
Mulder: Not if I can't get the Knicks game.
Scully: Well, just as long as a brutal infanticide doesn't weigh into your decision. Good night, Mulder.
Mulder: Good night, Mom.
Baa Ram Ewe 48K
Scully: Baa ram ewe!
I'm Here 51K
Scully: It's okay, Mulder. I'm here, okay?

Mulder reads the poem from "The Field Where I Died."
I Wouldn't Change A Day 349K --thanks to Val N. (if you would like to take this .wav to be placed on your own site, please contact Val N. and ask first!)
Mulder: Dana, if,
um...early in the four years we've been working together...an event occurred that suggested or somebody told you that...we'd been friends together in other lifetimes...always...wouldn't it have changed some of the ways we looked at one another?
Scully: Even if I knew for certain, I wouldn't change a day.
Mulder: You're an invertebrate scumsucker whose moral dipstick's about two drops short of bone dry.
Warm Thoughts 14K
Skinner: Just think warm thoughts.
Scully: Mulder...
Mulder: It's good to put my arms around you. Both of them.
Not Everything Is About You 43K
Scully: Not everything is about you, Mulder.
Scully's Journal Entry #1 838K
Scully: For the first time I feel time like a heartbeat, the seconds pumping in
my breast like a reckoning; the numinous mysteries that once seemed so
distant and unreal threatening clarity in the presence of a truth
entertained not in youth, but only in its passage. I feel these words as
if their meaning were weight being lifted from me, knowing that you will
read them and share my burden as I have come to trust no other. That you
should know my heart, look into it, finding there the memory and
experience that belong to you, that are you, is a comfort to me now as I
feel the tethers loose and the prospects darken for the continuance of a
journey that began not so long ago, and which began again with a faith
shaken and strengthened by your convictions. If not for which I might
never have been so strong now as I cross to face you and look at you
incomplete, hoping that you will forgive me for not making the journey
with you.
Scully's Journal Entry #2 389K
Scully: Mulder, I hope that in these terms, you might know it, and know me, and accept this stranger so many recognize but cannot ever completely cast out. And if the darkness should have swallowed me as you read this, you must never think there was the possibility of some secret intervention, something you might have done. I know we've traveled far together; this last distance must, necessarily, be traveled alone.
Scully's Journal Entry #3 544K
Scully: I have not written to you in the last 24 hours because the treatment has weakened my spirit as well as my body. Mulder, it's difficult to describe to you the fear of facing an enemy which I can neither conquer nor escape. Penny Northern has taken a downturn. I now look at her with a respect that can only come from one who is about to walk the same dark path. Seeing her, I can't help but see myself in a month or a year. I pray that I have her courage to face this journey. Mulder, I feel you close, though I know you are now pursuing your own path. For that, I am grateful. More than I could ever express, I need to know you're out there if I am ever to see through this.
Scully: I am as certain about this as you have ever been.
Trade In Lies 30K
Skinner: But you can't ask the truth of a man who trades in lies.
Funky Poaching 40K
Mulder: Well, pick out something black and sexy, and prepare to do some funky poaching.
Mulder: The truth will save you, Scully. I think it will save both of us.
How the Hell? 20K
Skinner: I want to know how the hell this happened.
Reconsider 13K
Skinner: You might want to reconsider.
Are You Sure? 10K
Skinner: Are you sure?
Seat of My Pants 23K
Skinner: Right now I'm flying by the seat of my pants.
Pretty Cool Keychain 761K --thanks to Val N. (if you would like to take this .wav to be placed on your own site, please contact Val N. and ask first!)
Scully: I actually was thinking about, uh...this gift that you gave me for my birthday. You never got to tell me why you gave it to me or what it means...but I think I know. I think that you appreciate that there are extraordinary men and women and...extraordinary moments when history leaps forward on the backs of these individuals...that what can be imagined can be achieved...that you must dare to dream...but that there's no substitute for perseverance and hard work...and teamwork...because no one gets there alone...and that, while we commemorate the...the greatness of these events and the individuals who achieve them, we cannot forget the sacrifice of those who make these achievements and leaps possible.
Mulder: I just thought it was a pretty cool keychain.
I'm Agent Scully 25K
Scully: I'm Agent Scully. May I show you something?
F.B.I. 62K
Mulder (Van Blundht): FBI. F...B...I...
Mulder (Van Blundht): You lookin' at me? There ain't nobody else here; you must be lookin' at me. You want a piece of this?
Light Saber 17K
Scully: Did he have a light saber?
Monkey Babies 22K
Scully: Birds and the bees and the monkey babies, Mulder.
Where Did I Go? 30K
Mulder: I was just here. Where did I go?
China Patterns 34K

Mulder (Van Blundht): That's official FBI business.
Good Night! 44K
Mulder (Van Blundht): Good night! This is where my tax dollars go?
Skinner: You can't do this!
I Followed Your Instructions 17K
Skinner: I followed your instructions.
Mulder: I know what you're afraid of. I'm afraid of the same thing.
Can't Hide the Truth From Me 96K
Mulder: You can believe what you want to believe, Scully. But you can't hide the truth from me. Cuz if you do then you're working against me...and yourself.
