The question is, are you a Shipper? Here's a
clue...
Are you get happy/excited/thrilled by the image you are seeing? If the answer is yes, then you're a Shipper. The
unofficial definition of a Shipper is this: a person who
believes that Mulder and Scully are destined to be
together, that they are one soul forged into two bodies,
that they are "in love" and don't quite realize it yet,
and this person wants them to form a romantic relationship. There are many variations of Shipperdom--there
are those who want them to take the final step, but only
when the last season ends or after a series of movies
after the last season ends, and then there are those who
want them to get together RIGHT THIS INSTANT. I'm kind
of sitting on the fence on this one, and am content to
let Chris Carter & Co. lead me where they want to take
it. I am a Shipper, though, so I do want to see
M & S get together at some point.
I believe that every X-Phile is, in their heart of hearts, a Shipper. Who can imagine Mulder with someone other than Scully? Who can imagine Scully with anyone other than Mulder? Who would want to imagine such things? The very idea is innately wrong. So why fight one's natural impulses? Don't argue with yourself or bring in rational reasons as to why they could or should find love elsewhere...you don't really want to hear them, and neither do we. We're taking the idea, and running with it.
That being said, let's get to it, shall we?
