The Thing and I Bart and Lisa investigate strange noises coming from the attic. They discover an empty cage with steel bars. In explanation, Homer and Marge admit that Bart has an evil siamse twin brother named Hugo, who was separated from Bart at birth and kept in the Simpsons' attic. Everyone races out to search for the missing twin exept Bart, who is unaware that Hugo is still inside. Armed with a steak knife, Hugo finds Bart and discloses his plan to reconnect Bart to his side. Dr. Hibbert appears just in time to save Bart and knocks Hugo out. He notices that Hugo's surgical scar is not on the left side of the body, that he is not the evil twin, and that Bart is the true incarnation of evil. The Genesis Tub Lisa conducts a science fair projectwith a baby tooth that falls out of her mouth. She places the tooth inside a margarine tub and pours soda over it. Bart zaps her with static electricity, and she, in turn, accidentally zaps the tooth. The next morning, Lisa examines the tooth with a tiny microscope and discovers evidence of a tiny society. Bart mistakes the tiny city for a model and crushes it with his finger. That night, the tiny society retaliates, deploying spaceships that attack Bart in his bed. Meanwhile, a series of tiny energy rings shrinks Lisa to micrscope size and beams her down into the minute town. The tiny townspeople mistake her for God. Lisa explains that the "Dark One" is her brother. Afterwards, Bart enters the margarine tub experiment in the science fair and wins first prize. Citizen Kang Aliens Kang and Kodos interrogate Homer about the Earth's leaders. Homer names Bill Clinton as president but cautions that Bob Dole could replace him if he wins the election. The aliens kidnap both men, place them in suspended animation, and then morph into their exact duplicates. Hoping to expose their sinister plan, Homer inturrupts a political debates between the alien candidates, but he is quickly whisked away by the Secret Service. In desperation, he rushes the candidates and tears off their fake skin, exposing Kang and Kodos. However, the aliens point out that, in a two-party system, the citizens have to vote for one of the candidates, and therefore, one of them will still win the election. |
